Wiring harness question

tried searching for my answer with no luck, so...

Just bought some of the flush mount LED lights to mount in rear bumper, and a harness off Amazon. The toggle switch has two leds in it, one that lights up all the time and the other when the lights are on. My question is, will this drain the battery if the one led is always on? Or am I missing something and it should turn off when truck is off? I'll be wiring the harness to the battery.

Depends on where you wire that light to, it looks like there is a relay so if the power that feeds the switch comes from a source that is switched to the ignition then it will go off. But if it feeds from the batter it will always be on and left for extend periods of time could drain. But just that would prob have to be weeks

 

^x2 you have to wire the switch light to a 12v switched. I used a fuse tap http://www.repairconnector.com/products/-ATM-Mini-Add-A-Circuit-Fuse-Holder-Tap-.html
and put it in IGN 2 behind the tray on the left. I used a 7.5a fuse for the switch light.

 

Wire the switch illumination to your AC control/dash lights. Then they will turn on with your other dash lights.
