    Agree with this. If you are not getting 12 volts or more at the compressor when the engine is running and it is switched on then there is an issue with the relay, ground, or the power from the battery to the relay. If when you jumped it straight to battery you used the ground it is already attached to, then that will rule out the ground being the main issue.
