I started in on my HID retrofit over the weekend but am stuck on the wiring. I got the FX-R bi-xenon with morimoto 3five D2S ballasts and the HD relay with 9006 trigger input. I'm wondering how you guys have wired up the solenoid for high beam, it seems like I ordered the wrong thing despite extensive research on here. The TRS instructions mentioned a splitter to wire hi beams but the only splitters they sent me are 9006 to 9006 x 2. I did some experimenting with the vehicles H4 plug output and it seems like what i need is a custom wiring harness that has a male H4 on one end, and 2 9006's on the other ends. With one side of the Y recieving a combined hi/lo wire and the 12v wire so the bulb stays lit when switched to hi beams, and the other side of the Y with only a hi and 12v wire to activate the solenoid.

I found this splitter on TRS and it seems like what I need but I can't see any specifics on how it's wired, only says H4 male to 9006 female http://www.theretrofitsource.com/components/harnesses/high-beam-splitters.html#.VHx4f9KzKuI. I have my doubts that this splitter would be wired for the needs of this application. Is anybody using this splitter with the HD relay?

I'm also seeing a motocontrol that has H4 input, which seems like it may be what I should have ordered in the first place instead of the HD relay. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/co...ntrol-bi-xenon-wire-harness.html#.VHx4zNKzKuI

I also had problems inserting the metal ends of the solenoid wires into the blank plastic 9006 plug. First of all, both wires coming out of the solenoid were red despite the instructions saying there should be a red and black and polarity is important. But the real issue I had was that no matter how hard I pushed them into the blank plug there was no click in that ever happened, they would fall out. I actually ended up breaking a little piece of plastic off one because of how hard I was trying to force the metal end in there. Any techniques for this?

You should've ordered the Motocontrol H4 BiXenon harness. Just give them a call and they'll fix it for ya!

Sweet, got the motocontrol H4 harness on the way, for now i'll just temporarily wire it up for low beam only with the supplied 9006 test connector.

I'm hoping to finish the headlights up tonight and am a little confused on what to seal up on the backside of the housing. looks like i'll be completely sealing up the area between projector and reflector bowl with the JB weld. but is the hole on the backside of the housing just left open? this would leave the interior of the housing open to air, whats the big deal about siliconing and sealing the edge of the light with butyl so well if the backside of it has an opening to air? are people custom cutting the original rubber seal that went on the stock H4 bulb to work with the retrofit setup? I see theres a rubber seal on the wire that comes from the morimoto ballast to the HID bulb plug, but it appears mainly useless. I don't see how I would cover anything with it when theres a single hole in the middle of the round seal and the bulb plug does a 90 degree... any pics of the backside of a completed retrofit? I did a lot of reading in the 'how to' thread by A7xschecter6661, but all those pics are from before the headlight was 100% sealed up and ready to go back onto the vehicle. They only show the jb welding between the projector and relfector, nothing about sealing the hole on the backside of the housing.
