Anyone with KC5 notice the end holes don’t line up with center of the cyclone lights? Has this been an issue with install? Also am I the only one whose KC logo is upside down on my far right light due to placement of the wire on the light vs. opening on housing?

Did you decide against using the wiring harness Meso includes for a particular reason? I’m curious bc I have also considered that type of connection.

It's off center because those through holes had to match up with the bolt pattern width on the roof. It is by design and will not affect anything.
The last logo you will have to undo the silver bolts and flip the KC logo around.

So I feel like a dumbass, you can fit everything through the holes, you just need to slide the rubber sleeves down the wire and push the connector through. I didn’t need to cut the wires at all:D
I just needed to quit being such a pussy and get after it with some thinking!
:anonymous: Hopefully I can install on my next days off and hopefully I connect all the wires right.
Now I’m sure there are lots of guys that think why would I buy one of these if I don’t know how to wire it?
Well how else am I supposed to learn if I don’t try! especially if I have no one to teach or show me

This might be a common saying for me in this thread but excuse my ignorance once more, what kind of wrap is that black and red rope looking stuff and is that heat shrink on the ends and where do I buy?. That’s looking clean:thumbsup:

Don't apologise for trying to learn! It's noble. The cable is techflex or PET expandable braiding. The heat shrink is adhesive lined heat shrink. Lemme know if u go this route and I'll give you some tips.

What is everyone’s thoughts on using silicone directly on the cyclone lights before bolting up? I was thinking about using silicone or RTV just where the wiring enters the housing and around the seal to the actual truck but I have read where people put a bead all around the lights on the BD4 setup. @MESO

My KC5’s have black RTV silicone everywhere! Behind the lights, in the wire holes, on the o-ring, around the housing, on the bolt threads, under the cyclone lenses, EVERYWHERE that I thought water may enter. Why not?
    No leaks since doing this.

I already installed my KC5 and it's fantastic. Do you know where I can find black bolts for the Cyclone lenses? It's the only chrome that bothers me.

Has anyone tried wiring one of the 5 KC lights separate to make an amber rear safety light for dusty conditions? Thinking about doing two red, two clear and one amber. But I’m no expert on wiring.

You just bridge all of the grounds across all 5 lights and then run a single wire (+) across the head liner and to a relay plus switch to control the dust light. Exactly as you would wire any other light. I did mine with 2 ambers (AC version; same principles apply).

Wonder if anyone has tried the V2 cyclones. They don't have exposed screws on the outside

I remember seeing a post about the V2's not fitting on the current KC5. Meso did state that he would have to remake the KC housing.
