Wiring problems, amp won't stay on - not a protect mod issue

    Went to go pick up an amp today after wiring it, turned key to AUX, I noticed that the power light went on for a split second and then went off for good. The amp didn't go into protection mode either. I tested the amp out on another vehicle and it worked perfectly. turned on and all. I am using all 4g wiring, while the other vehicle we used to test the amp out had a 0g for power and I think an 8g for grnd (which was weird). Anyone know why this is happening?

    n/m found rewired everything from the start. found out it was the main fuse :mad: damn thing looked fine... blew out - which was the cause of it all.

    Make sure you are using all the same gauge wiring for power and ground, if you haven't already done so. Wiring 0 ga and 8 gauge is a no no... creates a voltage differential that is harmful to the amplifier.

    lol, where oh where would this world be :confused:

    mine is all 4g, the other vehicle was 0g and 8g. Ws only hooked up to test power/sound for a very short amount of time.
