Forgive a noob, it's been 20+ years since I wired a car stereo...

After I replace the stock speakers this week (the easy part!), I'm adding 2 amps (one for the speakers and a mono amp for the sub). I'm already looking at amp wiring kits, power blocks (to merge the power cables), and RCA cable lengths, etc. I know I'll need a wiring harness with RCA outs, too. I've pored over dozens of how-to videos on YouTube and internet articles.

Can someone look over this, and tell me if I'm on the right track?

Line drawing is a little confusing as you're using the same symbology for speaker level and line level but I can still tell what you have in mind. Speakers off the interface unit look unnecessary. I personally would not want to run higher frequency signal through the sub amp first as that introduces an opportunity to add noise. If possible I'd run the signal through the 4-channel amp first then to the sub. If the sub winds up with a little more noise you may not notice. If your midwoofers and tweeters get the noise there's a much better chance it'll be audible. Other than that looks good. Don't see too many folks doing line drawings for this. I like it.

Yeah, it's my first line drawing. :D I wasn't sure how the speedwire connected from the amp back to the receiver/speakers.

The Fosgate has a passthrough feature that I wasn't expecting, which is what prompted me to buy the second amp for the forward speakers. However, if the new speakers sound okay after I switch them out tomorrow, I may ditch the second amp altogether and get a refund!

Why didn't you buy a 5 channel amp? It would have made the wiring much simpler.

I completely agree. And once I get a little more cash saved up, that's the route I'm going.
