Might be a good idea to look at another Tacoma and check your wiring over . Now getting old lol so sometimes when I take things off I take a pic so my old mine don't get confused . No shame taking pics or labeling wires so It goes back were it suppose too.

right, I had one there. screw is all stripped, hole is rusty and bad. and I don't have that cable anymore. ruined the eyelit trying to take it off.
need to pick up some more of those and some cable and resecure that one.
bought a new assembly from Napa that had the small wire and the big one coming out of one clamp, but it didn't have enough length on the big wire to go down to the block near the starter.

cable was all frayed and broke. Tried to fix with a replacement wire but it didn't work.
the black cable was my attempt at a making a ground wire. Was going to put it in the original location, but the truck was still shorting.

bridging that higher fenderwell battery ground, with the head lights ground helped keep the circuit in tact? idk. all I know is that one was loose, and I only have one spot to screw into.

I would try to remount at original mounting point .More solid .Then nut and bolt other ground .
