I have a 2006 Tacoma prerunner with daytime running lights that burned the light itself.I replaced the headlights with the halo look. And it has an led strip I would like to wire as the daytime running lights.Any help is appreciated.

DTRL are the turn signals on a 2006. It's controlled by circuit inside a box in the cab. In saying that once you turn headlights ON you'd loose the LED's, but they's come on when you use the turn signals.

If you are referring to aftermarket drl?
Then u can use a dpdt relay w 5 pins
    85- ground
    86- headlights
    30-IGN+V
    87a-DRL+
    87- no connection
This setup should have ur drl on at ignition if headlights aren't on
If headlight are on the drl is off
