190hp, 220tq. At least that's what the brochures said. I was looking at them in the late 90's

I would think the limiter would kick in at somewhere between 100 and 105 MPH??

My 2012 4.0 is at about 2100 RPM at 70 MPH.

New. That's me! Should have ko2s by the trip, my stock tires are getting smooth. I did get a tow strap for Xmas not a snatch one, but I've had friends slide off the road in winter.. a lot .

im hoping to make the trip. We are doing a dry run with our dog. My wife and I haven’t camped in over 15 years (Since my daughter was born) but that’s changing this week. The countdown for the family camping trip is now T-minus 1 week. I hope my dog doesn’t rip a hole in the tent. If all goes well my wife, dog and I will probably be going in September.

Unfortunately we have no one to watch him and my wife will never use a kennel/ pet hotel.
Anyone else bringing a dog. If so I’ll back out now. My Akita is not other dog friendly. (Definitely no dog parks for us)

There’s no spot in the poll for:

Maybe plus 1 and a dog

So I’m putting us down for that as of now

I’ve had my second gen up to 113/114. Couldn’t seem to get her going any faster. Maybe they are also limited to 115?

    Probably.

You were hauling ass that morning when we headed down to Chi-town 4×4! I saw a black dot in the rear view mirror, blinked, and you were passing me!

Yeah my wife was just complaining that our insurance (car and boat, both) is more expensive because of my one speeding ticket a year for the last three years. I told her I was shocked it was only one per year..

    Cool read about the pipeline.

Sadly, the trail did eventually get cut into sections.

One of the bridges is in an area that is closed. The other I have crossed several times. I'll have to stop and look for the plaque in a few weeks.

There are a lot of dead ends on the trail now. I'm hoping to figure out a way for us to check out as much as possible without having to back out. I've gotten pretty good at backing out of bad spots, but it might be more difficult with 10 trucks!

    @Peeing on Jeeps

Here's a link to the motor vehicle usage maps. You can download them and use them with a GPS app, or just look at it.

The key shows which roads are open to which types of vehicles, and when. With a GPS app, you can also track yourself offline, without reception and without using data.

I use Avenza maps. I think the free version allows you to actively view a limited number of maps, which you would download.

Beyond that, you can still view other downloads, but it won't show your location.

Aside from the National Forest maps, you can find local maps through the app and download them as well.

I added a screenshot of the map from the Lakewood/Laona district. The marks I made are mostly meaningless.

There's always standing water up there, even when it's been dry. Apparently it was considered one of the most challenging mud type trails in the country in it's day. Now I think the really bad areas are closed off.

This will be good, I would like to learn more about this GPS mapping stuff.
What basic equipment would one need? I have a hand held GPS that I use for tracking my dogs. Or if everyone had a collar in their trucks I could track the wear abouts of everyone. LOL

Gaia Topo. You can have several map layers stacked. USFS maps, nat geo, usgs topo, MVUM, weather, property lines, and so on. For $30 per year. Maps can be downloaded and saved. I have like 40gigs of downloaded and can roam all over Wisconsin, and most of the west.....

Good morning folks. Lots of rain here also from the looks of things. Didn’t hear it storm if it did.

How about that Thames guy. 0-5 at the plate and hits the game winning 2 run homer.
