I totally missed that part of the map legend! Looking at things more carefully, lots of the smaller trails in the forest close in nov or dec, so yould bemore limited in where you can go in the forest in general.

Can any of the fancy map apps that you all use show open trails by date ranges? Im only using mvum pdfs on avenza due to my limited information uptake abilities, but that takes checking each trail individually. Would be kinda neat to have a map that only shows available trails on the date you are on it.

Then again, looking at maps is kinda fun too.

Let's take a good look at them the next time we're up there.

It would really be nice to have an app that would show the mvum maps and highlight trails that are open in green and trails that are closed in red based on the calendar restrictions.

But, I do agree that is nice to stop and look at the map once in awhile.:)

If enough of us requested that feature, it might happen.programmatically, it shouldn’t be overly difficult.

I could be in for a pipeline run or TWAT run in the snow.

What about a day trip, maybe January 22 or 29?

I'm thinking either run the T.W.A.T from Thorp to Sparta (or vise versa), or just head to the Pipeline and see what it's like. We can always go around the bigger obstacles.

I'd be down to give it a shot. Can't do the 22nd, any other day would work.

    Yes Sir

My bumper will be here today, so I guess I'll have to try and get it and the winch installed before then. Just in case it's needed. If we even have snow by then lol

    Sweet!

I hope so. I think snowmobiling is just as big up there as ATV's are during the summer.

So, would you guys prefer to go to the Pipeline? I could go either way.

I’m thinking…. Pipeline would be cool if we could piece together a bit of a route that includes the general area. With the closures, Im not sure how good the picking will be, but maybe.

Thorpe to Sparta…is that getting into the driftless area? Anybody been on that section before?
