Excellent way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Now that we discovered our similar college background stories, I worry that @wi_taco knows me too well! Crazy to find out that you lived in the same house with my sister. Always fun to swap stories with fellow Evans Scholars.

For those not familiar, I reference Caddyshack and Danny Noonan's efforts to get in good with Judge Smails to get the caddie scholarship. Yep, that's a real thing. 4 years tuition and life at an "academic" frat house at Marquette for me and my brother and sister both went to UW Madison on the same scholarship.

Damn! Okay, I'll be looking forward to some stories next time we meet up. I seriously considered studying music post high school, but had other interests, mainly science/biology. I kind of felt like I peaked in high school and wanted to explore other things. "Jack of all trades, master of none" has been my path in life. I'm very much okay with that.

The recovery; those wheels are aluminum and not designed for that kind of side load, he should have either picked up the rear and moved it over or pulled from the front.

Hey crew... for those of you who went on the color run a few weeks back; remember that bar we drove past in Cayuga? Stopped there today on the way back home from my adventures. Drop Tine Bar and Grill-highly recommended! Talked to the owner and he totally remembered us driving by!

Don't do "other" places... Always surprises me how many other sites there are just for Tacomas when i try and look things up. Might be an internet doppelganger...

Edit: Where do you hang out? Years ago I had a "family" like this TW group when I wrote articles for scale model builds... but I don't know that we shared to this level.

Yeah what a crazy small world, us lowly Evans Scholars gotta stick together against the Smails of the world lol. I’ve been trying to think of any good stories about your sister and all I come up with is she was good people and usually the voice of reason. She always had a smile to share, only good things to say about her. Ask her about the Billy Joel Piano Man thing though, it was the Madison song to signal “closing time” and usually resulted in shenanigans. I think one year during our Putt-Putt event I was designated to her room and was serving tequila to unsuspecting victims lol.

I ate a venison burger there in October on my road trip and I’ll agree, very good. Think mine was called something like the Rut Buster or along those lines - venison burger with cheese and bacon on a pretzel bun. Mmmmmmm.

Not many other places anymore. Was on a few bass player forums back in the day, some of the Command and Conquer community sites... Nothing too crazy

Just so long as it doesn't turn into a "Penthouse Forums" thread. The Toyota angle might make things weird..

As the Ents surround him quietly and ominously, the disappointed driver mutters "I f'd up." Visions of Back to the Future suddenly enter his mind. Biff Tannen was right all along?

Couple photos from last weekend's meetup at Eagle Park Brewing Co. Mostly just to prove that yes, we all do sit next to each other and just post on TW instead of talking. Kids these days...j/k the online ordering was intimidating at first but actually pretty awesome after figuing it out.

Joking aside it was the usual good company, conversation, drinks, and food. Good call whomever picked this place, I'm still wanting more of these chicken tacos. Oktoberfest was tasty, Ekto Cooler weird but okay, Old Fashioned very serviceable.
