I have had way too much to do over the past couple weekends, which is why I NEED to go next weekend. Looking forward to seeing some of you fools. Speaking of you fools, when are you guys planning to head up? Is it too early to talk convoy? I'm not even really sure who's all going.

My current plan is to take a half day on Friday and leave sometime around noon or 12:30 from work, which is up in the Brown Deer area. That puts me a little over 3 hours from the Black River Falls area,so arrival around 4 or so with gas/pee stops. Maybe if others are there around dinner time we can get a fish fry and an Old Fashioned or 3. I think you guys liked the place that you went to last year up there, right? I was ill that night and didn't make it out.

I'm expecting to be there somewhere in the 3:30 time frame. I'm good with that idea, though last time I showed up in the morning on Sat. I'm wide open to whatever the group wants to do.

I know its early, but looks like 40-50% chance of precipitation and around 19F Friday night. I wish the WI curse could be broken...

I'm having flashbacks to that Sunday night in Moab. The wheelin' in the fresh snow on Monday was epic.

Since we're talking about the weather forecast, the forecast I watch is now calling for 25% chance of freezing rain/drizzle here on Sat. morning. Switching to BRF area, they're saying brief snow showers Sat. at about the same chance. It's a TW event...you know that shit's coming.

I put my overland bar on so I can rock a tarp. Not going to trust, and besides, freezing rain sucks to sleep out in. Still going to trust that we will eat at restaurants. Even less fun to cook in snowstorm/freezing rain events. Daves images from the Moab trip reminds me of that first night in Colorado at that reservoir off hwy77 when we just beat the blizzard in the morning, but fruck it was cold and windy to be cooking in.

I'm still on the fence about joining the convoy on Saturday morning.
Really depends on weather and/or whether or not I decide to work. Voluntary but I like money too!

Would be solo, as I can't yet break the son of his early routines.

Also wouldn't mind loading up full gear and taking a mock run to see how it rides, in preparation for KenTWucky25.
    :notsure:
