if I'm going to get scratches, this is how I want to get them. Not in a parking lot someplace. I can't guarantee I wont cry a little when I hear that first squeal of branches on paint, though.

At this point, I'm tentatively thinking Labor day weekend. I'll let you know when I decide for sure. Otherwise I might just go on a Friday in the next few weeks.

There might be a small group of jeep guys that I know running the pipeline Labor day weekend. I'll chat with them this week to confirm.

I have been down the pin stripe road as well. I would bet that 99% of those scratches will buff out.

Tell them that they might have to clear some trees to access certain areas. Although I'm sure they would be prepared for that anyway.

Any type of time frame/agenda set for the weekend? Also depending on the day I can meet up for a pre-run so no one is wheeling alone in case of trouble.
I’m about 70 minutes from the campground.

See the OP for a loose schedule. I'll add more information in a few weeks once we know who's coming and when.

Pre-run might be labor day weekend. Looks like it will be @ajmogen and myself most likely. You'd definitely be welcome to join.

My plan now is to clear any down trees that are blocking access to the trails, and run as much of the trail as possible. I want to take notes about each section, so everyone can decide which areas they want to run or avoid.

I recruited another tacoma owner to go on this camp/off road adventure! At least his truck has a winch if that is necessary.

A truck with a winch, you say? Glad we'll have a real man with us.

We shouldn't need a winch. We have snatch straps.

Definitely worth it IMO. I’ve taken a bunch with the guys from 7p who lead expeditions globally and most have been for 20+ years.

They are doing a 8 day trip through Baja I kinda want to do.

I'll have a bubba rope with me too, along with some soft shackles and tree saver...you know, in case there's a jeep that needs rescue :bananadead:

Wait staying in a holiday inn makes us qualified for something? I’m basically a professional then with my 500 nights at IHG hotels.
