If I had been alone I might have taken a running start and gotten through. I might try it next time I'm stuck, though.

It's too early to say how these tires are in mud. I actually think they're pretty good. Not many tires are going to help when your skid plate is sitting in the clay.

    I guess I need bigger tires..:anonymous:

These trucks aren't "built." 2 were completely stock on mild AT tires. If I had nothing better to do but take turns digging out everyone's truck, it might have sounded like a good idea.

I was impressed with what everyone was willing to go through. I have been doing this quite a bit now, and I'm still pretty conservative.

Edit: and, before this gets taken the wrong way, I would have gladly helped recover anyone who wanted to try going through the deep spot.

But, we all looked at it and decided to go around that particular spot. Even that was a little tricky as you had to keep moving and towards the end the truck would want to slide into the ruts.

We also all went through the sloppy mud hole on the north end of the Pipeline, which was actually pretty easy as the bottom was gravel and rock. The hardest thing there was keeping it between the 2 boulders.

Was very impressed with the dudes testing out the stock trucks for the first time off road!

I think we all learned something and had a blast doing it.

Personally, I'll continue to increase how adventurous I'll be with the Tacoma. For now, I'm going to err on the side of caution when I'm unsure of obstacles, as it's the only vehicle I currently own.

It was my first time off the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly. I thought it was a great starter course for us all. A little taste of everything that wouldn’t kill our equipment!

I have a stock sport. No lockers. Tires that have some high speed wear. Its my daily driver. 120 miles round trip. That being said I did more than I thought I would try. The deep mud hole with boulders I wasn’t really wanting to press my luck. Unlike Trd off-roads, the sport only has the single front skid not the 2 piece standard on Trd off roads . The skids are basically a bbq grill thickness.. thinner than my Webber grill! Lol. My anxiety level was maxed out but also I was jacked on just seeing the little it did. I mean I drove up a boulder backwards for Christ sake! Lol

A huge thanks to Pat for his spotting!
As a matter of fact everyone did awesome spotting and just helping out each other.

The Wisconsin Tacoma community has a bunch of outstanding people. I’m glad I was able to hang out for the weekend and looking forward to the next trip. I’ll make sure to get a bigger variety of moonshine!

Thanks to James for setting our route up and spotting a rookie trail driver.
