I'm in for the Beer meet up on the 25th.
With any luck I may have a story or two to tell from my travels in the UP this weekend.

Count me in for the 7/25 beer garden meet. One of my professors cancelled the final exam so now I have less work to do. Will shuffle in sometime between 5 and 6 most likely.

Oooh I live 5 minutes from Pets Biergarten. Maybe i'll use this as an opportunity to meet more of you.

Even show off my door pillar scratches from hanging out with pearing a few weeks back if my screen protech doesn't arrive in time. ;)

I'll be bringing my wife and daughter and I'm assuming Kimm'r will be there @Stoney Ranger? Not sure about anyone else.

@rubbersidedown I'm in for a convoy again if you guys are. Will most likely break off closer to Tigerton for a trip to Nueske's again. Gotta get the annual 5lb bacon purchase out of the way. Definitely keeping a closer eye on it this time.

If anyone likes Pasties there is a great place to pick up some close to Tigerton. They are all made in house then frozen to go. We stopped there to get some our last trip to bring home and they were excellent!

So, Sendik’s, my employer, just announced our annual hatch chilli pepper sale. We get them once a year and they're quite delicious in a variety of dishes. They're coming in the week before the Tigerton trip and I'm planning to pick up a few pounds. I'll bring some along to roast over the fire and add to whatever.

I'm not sure if @pearing or @Pixeltim are planning on doing any cooking, but they'd be great in tacos or with eggs. I get the medium heat variety and they're meaty and flavorful without being all that hot. I'm planning to make some hatch pepper ranch burgers or sliders. If anyone wants in on those, let me know and I'll plan on bringing more supplies.

Yeah, I'm just sitting here on a rare slow Friday making myself hungry before lunch...

Oh my god don't tell me these things! I don't have money to decide between truck parts and desert peppers! My parents live just south of Hatch in Las Cruces, fresh roasted chilis are definitely something you guys should try if you haven't before.

Also fun trivia: If you are ever in the southwest and someone asks you red or green they are talking about peppers/salsa colors. If you like both, tell them "Christmas" and they won't make fun of you like as much of a tourist lol. I'm team Christmas but nothing better than greens on eggs, burgers, or just about anything really.

Haha! You don't have to decide between truck parts and peppers. We're selling them in 2 lb bags for $4.99. Let me know how many I should bring along for you.

Absolutely! Google hatch chile huevos rancheros and just start drooling.

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. I'll happily take 2 bags of whatever colors if you don't mind grabbing them. I don't know anything else about Sendiks but they might suddenly be my favorite place.

Is it wrong that I've been daydreaming of places in Wisconsin to move to that aren't down here in the concrete suburbia that is SE WI and now part of my criteria might be "have to move closer to a Sendiks to get peppers once a year?"

You do bring up a good point. Where did we land on the potluck idea? I can still do the pork shoulder version of what I made at Wyalusing.

We should also decide which site(s) to meet up at for the aforementioned potluck.

You got it! We get mostly green ones with some orange-red ones mixed in. Let me know if you want medium heat or hot. The heat varies year to year a bit. Last year's mediums were a little hotter than the previous year's.

The closest Sendik’s to you would probably be our Franklin store. Consider moving to lake country? Our newest store is in Oconomowoc and it's really nice!

Oh yeah, there was talk of a pot luck... I don't want to put in too much effort in planning for a large group, but I'll bring and roast the peppers, and I'm happy to make extra burgers or sliders for those interested. Maybe I should stick to sliders if others are planning to share dishes.

Medium or hot are both fine. If I have to choose can I do one bag of each? Both are good. Any are good. Thanks for even putting this out there!

Re moving I just like to dream about finding a place where I can build a bigger garage on a couple acres or more and have more trees and hunting/farm land around than concrete. The second part of that daydream is dreaming I have enough money to do the whole thing lol.
