Probably leaving around 9 . Drop the dog off at Doogie Day Care, then drop the wife off at her parents, outside of Prentice.

 

You guys have fun this weekend. I have other commitments and will miss this one. I just finished cleaning ALF of the Moab dust. 16 solid hours of washing, waxing, vacuuming, scrubbing the interior, took a boar brush to the nooks and crannies, and tire foaming the engine bay. I really don't want to get it dirty this soon.

So what you're saying is that you've only removed about 60% of the Moab dirt.

 

Mostly packed, haircut early AM, then come back here and give everything a last once-over. Should be on the road by 10-ish.

 

Just passed through Phillips. I thought I'd check in here before I go into a cellular dead zone or something. If I recall correctly, my reception has never been good in the Clam Lake area. Post up here once I establish a campsite. If not, I'll check in in the morning when I run into town.

Holy shit! This place is packed! Sites 1-5 all appear to be occupied. Someone please get here asap tomorrow! 7&8 are available. I'm going to set up on 7 and hope nobody shows up in the morning and snatches 8.

 

I'm going to venture a guess that this is a good little fishing lake, and that's why it's packed. The people set up on #9 appear to be camping in an ice fishing shanty.

 

Gonna crash in the 4Runner for tonight. I'm having a black Russian to keep hydrated while I unload stuff.

I am surprised that its busy-especially with the weather report. never would have guessed. Bear season is done too, so what gives?

I will be out of work by 4 home to grab truck and final pack out by 5. Should be there by 6. Tacos by 7? I have some local Copper Crow vodka, a bottle of Kahlua and some Bailey's for the hangover.

I'm planning on running for some stuff this morning. I'll probably grab some firewood. And, I have my Husqvarna with me again, so maybe we can do lumberjack games later.

 

Depending on who gets here first, and how the crowd looks here, we can then make a decision whether to set up here, or move the party over to the Day Lake campgrounds.
