Great lookin' doggie, Carlos! Seems to be pretty tolerant. Both of those breeds carry a lot of attitude! My ex's Rat recently died...17 years old.

after a thorough investigation it appears to be wool wax

 

I may get there late so I wasn't planning to cook Saturday. I have to work on bikes at a camp all day so I will be tired. Suck a drink tell some lies and sleep!

 

Woolwax, classic formula. I also slathered it behind the mounting plates. Does a good job of keeping any trapped water from rusting the frame.

Can't hit it too hard Saturday. We'll have to drive in the morning... oh, like that usually stops us anyway.

 

Believe it or not, the rest of frame looks exactly like that! Perfect black factory frame paint everywhere, except it’s under several layers of dust-saturated woolwax. Which happens to look like chocolate chewed bubble gum dipped in sand and dirt.

I can wipe the dried woolwax off with a degreaser, but I prefer to add woolwax on top of the crust. Makes it way more resilient to getting wiped off.

 

Might just have to run em like tequila shots......
Take a shot, drink some wash, suck on an orange wedge.
