    Exactly! Like a support group for poor decision making.

    That sounds interesting! I might have to try it sometime.

    That looks fun!

    Man, you see some of the photos I post and all the trees, woods, grass and brush.
    I haven't had a single tick all year.

    Five minutes out of the truck and my son had 2.
    The wife. All she has to do is walk outside to get them.

    I looked at 4x for skids but didn’t see anything for Tacomas.
    I am going to order a rear bumper from them though.

    Hose it off. Let it dry. Saturate everything with cheapo tire foam. Boom. Magic. Takes 20 mins. +drying time.

    Don't like the results? Repeat.

    Keep the water away from the alternator.

    Bumpers look nice. I noticed a lack of armor for the Tacos. Oh well

    Hose that alternator down. It'll be fine.

    Maybe

    I spent about 5 hours yesterday cleaning my truck. Between the weather and my schedule I never had a chance to give it a good cleaning from Arkansas. I could definitely go another round on both the interior and exterior. Feels much better to drive now.

    Engine compartment is a disaster. Yesterday I hosed it down and then foamed it with dawn dish soap. Let that sit for about 10 min and rinsed it off. That got about 50% of the dirt off. Now I need to set aside some time to do a deep cleaning.

    When Adam (4X Innovations) was still in Iowa in 2013 I had him custom build me bolt on zero offset sliders for my 2nd gen

    [IMG]

    Can't recommend Adam enough I sold the Taco this Spring for a Lexus GX460 and they were one of the selling points, and still solid as a rock with much abuse over the years. RCI makes skids for the GX but Budbuilt is the 4X Innovations of the GX world and gooder.

    OK I'll cross back over the River now. But better hide the women and children in 2 weeks I'm breaking out the passport and passing back over for the 3 day Woods and Meadows Double Gun Shoot in Warrens :anonymous: It is replacing the Duluth Double Gun shoot starting this year but I spend a lot of time on the other side of the River anyhow.

    My RCI skids definitely are showing the wear and are a bit bent up, but I expect that being aluminum. Only one I have a problem with is the transfer case skid. As many have heard the skid contacts the crossover pipe and rattles like the dickens despite my attempts to space it down.
    I'm going to pull it off and take it to work and see if I can't tweak some of the bends in a press brake to get some more room. Ultimately I need to get the re-route done than I can run a flat skid.

    Lol.
    I joined T.W. a year ago looking for leads in what suspension to go with. Many dollars later and I STILL don't have my front coilovers.

    My RCI t.c. skid doesn't contact the crossover pipe.
    The cat guard on d.s., however, touches the exhaust causing a chirping.

    Is it too late to plan a Biergarten meet up on Tuesday, the 18th? Alternative date, Tuesday the 25th.

    @BookieBob
    @sparkystaco
    @wi_taco
    @Camerasandcoffee
    @Aztec120
    @rubbersidedown
    @WiscoPat

    Any interest in either date?

    Not sure who else I missed in the S/E area..

    Obviously others are welcome (encouraged) to travel, if it's convenient for them.

    Meet in the usual parking area at 5, head to the Biergarten around 5:30. Beer, brats, and BS.

    Also, I'm thinking it would be fun to go to a Toyota themed car show sometime. Does anyone know of any Toyota dealers having a show at all?

    Where does one go to do the reroute?

    I like to think any muffler shop with proper direction could get it done.

    Tigerton was the 1st time I used the skids. You can see where the exhaust hump, side of transfer and 1st xmember all took some hits.
    I was going for the "anything is better than nothing" approach. :D

    20240616_091302.jpg
    Without it I think my exhaust w/b f#&%d.

    Hi Mike
    How have you been?
    You still working?
    The dog still keeping you busy, Coco is starting to show her age.
    You should join us for our spring Wyalusing ride. Good food and company.

    I went to an exhust shop. Showed them pictures of what I was looking for. The is a thread about the reroute. Basically there's 2 reroutes. One moves the cross over up. Just watch the clearance with the front driveshaft. The other one reroutes the crossover behind the transfer case.
