Wisconsin area events- TIGERTON AUGUST 8-10!!!

@Camerasandcoffee and I decided to change plans due to the ever changing weather forecast. We're camping on the Chippewa River and today we're going to kayak a section about 7-8 miles long. We'll try to post pictures at some point if we find better service.

If anyone is in the Eau Claire - Durand area and wants to stop by this evening, PM me.

Trucks need fixin', Bass are bitin', Turtles be snappin' and kayaks need yakkin'.
Caught 3 largemouth but my camera was in the truck. (of course).

That snapper there was small in comparison to one on the lake.
I thought it was a beaver at 1st. Head the size of my fist.
Me and the other guy at the pier referred to him as Big Al.
He hung around most the morning.

 

It's gonna be a good day.

Had a good weekend kayaking and bumming around with @Camerasandcoffee !

We ended up getting a fish fry at the Timber Inn in Downsville Friday and stopped in at Durand Brewing Company afterward.

Got the kayaks in around 8am Saturday and floated/paddled about 7.5 Nautical miles. Stopped a few times and caught a few fish (very few ).

Ended up having a few drinks and some BS on the tiki bar, and Brian @bkhlrTaco's stopped by to take a few casts and shoot the breeze.
