I was thinking, a solar panel on the roof of my topper would be awesome so I could have a power source that didn't rely on the vehicle battery.

The SR5 is immensely better than the base SR imo. The cruise control, keyless entry, backup camera, sliding windows, and intermediate wipers make a huge difference. Honestly the keyless entry and intermediate wipers add alot. Its so annoying when it is sprinkling and doing the single swipe every 10 seconds and then the low setting on the column is way to fast so its super aggressive. Makes people think I am over reacting on how hard its raining. I guess the only thing bad about the SR5 is the chrome grill and bumper

okay so technically if I didnt have a receiver and I really wanted to have keyless entry, I would purchase a receiver and a fob and program it to the receiver and I would be good.

That's a good looking truck! What engine? I drive a Silverado for work, and the V8 is excellent, and gets better mileage than the 4Runner.

    Congratulations on the growing family!

5.3 L. Was open to the 6.2 but this one came up under my budget. I don’t know if I will get better mileage (15/20 on this one) should be about the same as the Tacoma.

I don't want to get banned posting B/S/T on this thread, but also don't want to post to the B/S/T threads yet want to try and sell local (Racine/Kenosah/Milwaukee) first and avoid shipping. Any advise? Midwest Classified thread?

you could always say “no shipping” in your thread. I usually hate seeing those words, but that’s because a lot of the good stuff is in CA.

I wasn't really shopping for another tent, but spotted this and had to check it out...
    Rightline Gear Truck Bed Tent

I think I could fit it on the truck with the hard tri-fold toneau folded back twice and have a nice shelf inside. I looked at a few and like this one because it has no floor to the tent, so I think I could make it work with the toneau cover. Wouldn't have to move gear and recovery stuff out to set it up either, and that's pretty sweet. Also it's pretty cheap, and I have $75 in Amazon credit that's burning a hole over here.

    Thoughts?
