Had to make a trail side repair today… and by that I mean a random harbor freight parking lot

    IMG_3394.jpg

CarPlay kept randomly disconnecting. Swapped the cable and didn’t make a difference. Seemed to happen on random bumps or pot holes so figured something had to be loose. Taped the usb connection together in the dash and seems to be fine now.

trim removal tools are now going in my tool bag.

We had enough sense to bring insulated bibs. (Doesn't matter to you. You were in shorts all week. Made me cold just watching.) There is no inclement weather.....just inappropriate clothing. The beers and whiskey were flowing and I was doing my boomer thing.:rasta: I found the snow fall enchanting. My altered state may have affected my judgement, but it was a good time.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Rola rack. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.

I did the same thing for mine a while back. I had to make brackets to keep the traction boards under the tonneau.

downside is having to get to the front of the bed when you need them.

Wanted to share a resource with you hooligans that I've enjoyed.

In the event you guys need OEM parts, check out McGeorge Toyota based out of Virginia:

    https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/

My experience with them has been great. Top notch customer service, massive inventory, and quick shipping. They have sales throughout the year (one is live now, 30% off).

    Carry on!

What I did at work today.. learned how the kia boys hijack kias... now I want to ask a coworker who has a kia... if I can try it, the non destructive grab and pull method. aka remove trim and pop the ignition cover off way.. so it can be put back together....

Did something tonight that you guys might appreciate. Was driving behind someone in a 55 zone doing 50. Decided I wanted to pass them. I look in the rearview mirror and see there is someone behind me. Eh, whatever, time to pass. I floored it to get around them and got up to I believe 78. Pull back in my lane and then drop down to 61 and set my cruise. All sudden I see that vehicle that was behind me pull out and also pass the slow vehicle. Then as the vehicle got closer to me it started to look kind of like a police car. Sure enough after following me for about a mile the sheriff passes me LOL. Shewww! I guess after he ran my plate he saw how damn squeaky clean my record is and decided he had other places to be

I don't think he checked your records. If he did, he would've thought you were a drug dealer, because of all the vehicles you've had over the past few years.

In need of a new set of tires for the Tacoma and snagged a set of the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/Ts; seem to be a good all around compromise and fine for highway miles.

Install is set for Saturday - if anyone's interested I'll give my first impressions.

Very interested! I've had my eye on those for a while, just can't justify pulling the trigger yet. What size did you go with? I don't know much about your Taco and if it's lifted or anything.

Just one size up, so 265/75 r16 - the Taco is mostly stock now (suspension is all stock). There's a $100 rebate and good availability, plus my Blizzaks need to come off, so it was a good time to make the change.
