I see BFG is about to release the KO3. Or, at least it's being advertised as an option on some upcoming vehicles.

I'm looking forward to watching it be the best tire ever for a few years, and then "overrated garbage" according to a handful of people for a few years.

Hopefully it keeps the good and improves on the not so good of the mostly beloved KO2!

Posting this here as I'm not willing to ship and looking for a somewhat local buyer for this non-truck related item... hope I'm within forum rules. If I'm not, please let me know.

I have a 4.5 year old Cub Cadet CC30h 30" riding mower that I'm ready to sell and replace with a push mower (probably the new Milwaukee Tool electric mower). It's in great shape and runs strong. I also have a bagger attachment. When I bought the mower I didn't have a fire pit, garden beds or a pool, and I'm adding a small deck for the pool. I have half the lawn I used to and all the obstacles mean it takes longer on a riding mower and I have more trimming to do.

I know this isn't Craigslist, but I know a bunch of yous guys and I wanted to give you the first crack at a good deal if you're in the market for a mower. It sells for $2200 new, and the bagger attachment is $389. I'm asking $1450 for both and they must be sold together.

Here is the mower when it was new. Looks pretty much the same now. See link above for the bagger. Let me know if you want to know more about it!

One of the hardest things in the bike industry for me is the mentality of change for changes sake... Take something that works, fork it up and call it new and improved-oh, and charge more for it... Have not seen that with BFG, so one can hope. Ran Mud TA's back in the 90's and my currents are KM3's so I have some investment. The big time of OE is problematic as well for production numbers and quality control. BFG has been at it a long time though, so, again hoping for the best. Time will tell.

That has definitely been a thing on the bike side. I just saw a video of a pro road cyclist swapping derailleur batteries from the front to back while moving. Yeah, not seeing the advantage of wireless, I'll keep the weight of some cable and housing thanks.

I totally agree about changing things just to change them.

I also figured, if KO2's were as bad as some people have said, BFG would have changed them years ago. I found them to be a good all around tire.

Side note: wireless derailleur?? Really? What's the weight of a battery and a motor VS a cable?

Maybe if I were a sponsored bicycle racer.

My very frugal neighbor spent more to upgrade his bike to electric derailleurs than I have in my entire bike. He normally has a great justification for every dime he spends, but when I asked him about the advantages of the upgrade, he shrugged his shoulders and said he thought they were cool. Go figure.

This is sound reasoning that I can get behind.

I guess it's really not bad when you consider how much people spend on things they don't really need around here. Heck, I bought a Bajarack ladder and it sat in my garage from spring of 2020 until last Friday when I finally sold it. And, knowing me, I'll probably buy it again next year.

I didn’t know that was a thing. Very much seems a solution in search of a problem.

there’s also a powered seat post if you need one of those… I don’t see the point other than for someone to use on only fans lol

When I was racing I had to have the latest, lightest coolest widget. Then I came to a conclusion that most of it was snake oil and often dangerous. Hell, my latest bike I took off the expensive fancy disc brakes and went back to a lower end BB7 because, I can fix it anywhere in the world and a cable is $5 versus nearly $100 for housing and then the headache of bleeding in the field. Simple and effective over complex every time-and I can lose some weight if that is the deciding factor...

Kinda like ultra light back packing. You can cut your toothbrush in half to save some grams or just take a dump in the morning to save more weight and have a full size toothbrush

Bikes, trucks, hunting and any activity, pretty much the same when new products come out.
You see it in the magazines, always doing reviews and getting people thinking that you "Must" have it. Hunting magazines are full of new must have equipment. I stopped getting hunting magazines because I got tried of this. My bow, gun and camo work fine. If I bought all the latest and greatest equipment I would need a bigger backpack to carry it all.

Same here, I used to read all the car magazines back in the day and kept trading in to keep up.
I stopped getting the magazines and stopped trading in my cars decades ago.

I've been happy with my Model T Ford and plan to keep it till it drops!
    Cheers!

And golf! Every year new and more expensive clubs come out that are sure to shave strokes off of your game, yet I still suck at it. My game peaked when I held the #2 spot on my high school freshman team. I never got better after that yet everybody else did. No amount spent on new clubs helped me. I haven't even played the last few years. Might be because of this truck thing...

Making me thirsty. Nice spread there! Those 1.75 Buffalo Trace bottles are hard to find. I've been wanting to try the High West Campfire. I had one of those Larceny barrel proofs recently and wasn't crazy about it.
