St Germain is actually like a 35 minute drive from me that's why I said kind of in my area but no one is even close. I think the closest person would be fond du lac?

Considering lots of semi's still run kingpins I don't think it would be to hard to find them.

So I just spent the last hour with tech support and they said that those were the correct fog lights that got sent. They also said they've sold plenty of those fog lights without having any returns with my issue. Which I don't understand because like this fog light simply doesn't fit. They also said I might need to trim which the only thing that would make sense to trim needing to trim would be the fog light itself but that would void the warranty and I dont think I should need to do that in the first place. I also don't want to trim any of the places on the truck itself because I don't want to compromise the secureness of the fog light when it is in there I wouldn't want it to be shaking around or anything when I am driving. Then it was like past the end of there work day so he said h'ed try to replicate my issue tomorrow. So I dont know, its a mess

actually can anyone send me a close up of the housing to see the fitment of the foglight assembly, the foglight itself in the bezzel to see how it fits, I guess the fitment isnt the best but if my issue is that the tabs that slide in that are closer to the center of the truck are two narrow so they wont be able to slide in. I'll attach what the difference is between the fake cover and the actual foglight assembly

Hmm..... the DD SS3s fit just fine.... :anonymous:

Lol. But for real, peculiar issue. Maybe you got lucky with one that slipped QC?

I dont know maybe, A big contributing factor of getting this kit is it had the wiring harness and switch for it so adding it is alot easier. I more than likely would have got a pair of Diodes if that was the case.

Sorry for clogging this thread with my fog light bs

Not at all. That's what the forum is about...

I personally have nothing to add, my thoughts were brought up with maybe the lights needing to be swapped or turned. The way Toyota likes to have easy swaps from one trim level to another, you would think it should fit.

My thought exactly but the sliding tabs are to narrow. Everything always ends up being more difficult then it should. Thought I was doing some simple foglights maybe 1.5-2 hours wiring and all. Nope got 10 minutes in and had an issue.

I'm so glad this shit happens to other people. Countless times with these trucks something that everyone and or the manufacturer says is a nice quick mod ends up being a frustrating process.

As I was sitting here, it occurred to me that I used to have a fog light from my 2nd gen down in the basement. I guess I finally threw it out, I'm not any help.

That, in a nut shell is why I make most of my stuff. May not be as pretty, but I know it fits/works/won't break. If it does, I know who to talk to...
