It's turning into a bass party over here.

    PXL_20231202_040933074.MP.jpg

It's basically a bass holiday today, as it would have been Jaco Pastorius's 72nd birthday. A true legend, who unfortunately died way too soon after picking a fight with a bouncer at a club.

Here he is playing "The Chicken" in his prime.

Here's what I'm currently working with. (I've had others) They aren't worth $400 combined. They are old and worn but hell, so am I. :)

Back in the day (1982 ish) I had a wonderful Ibanez RS fretless and an Alembic that my parents must have mortgaged the house for... Sold them both in 1986 ish for pennies in moment of stupidity (of which-unfortunately-there have been many...)

I honestly don't know how all of you are so damn savvy... I sure made/make inordinate amount of stupid decisions in my 59 years. I would be a billionaire except for myself. The flatbed is NOT a mistake though. Neither have the 35's proved to be wrong. Wife is a pretty damn good choice too! Getting better with age!

    Same here.

The last couple of weeks been spending alot of time in the deer blind, thinking.
Thinking about all the stupid stuff I did growing up. Probably till I was 40.
Last 18 years have been full if good choices.

Now I'm thinking it sure would be nice to get a deer. Some of you guys really like the venison egg rolls.

You are most definitely not alone when it comes to making stupid decisions!
If I had a buck for every dollar I’ve wasted in my time, I’d be retired right now and living in some tropical paradise!

Then again, looking back, I can’t imagine doing things differently. I did have a fun life.

Didn't know that about Warwick. I've played a few, utterly tremendous sound, but not my cup of tea when it comes to feel.

I've definitely let a few go for dumb reasons.... :anonymous:
