No camper plans-yet. Going to sleep on it though! Lots of ideas and modular things in my head for this new look. Bike racks. Kayak and canoes. etc. etc.

 

So I got my new ice fishing coat and bibs today. At the risk of upsetting @sparkystaco by spending my money, I did spring for the pricey bibs that match the coat I got half off from Striker Ice. I have to say I'm very impressed! Top notch quality in the materials and some really neat and innovative features. Buddy of mine has been sending me ice reports and apparently there is 2.5 to 3" of ice on Shawano Lake now. Looking forward to getting out in the cold!

 

Why would I be upset? unless it changes the size of my xmas present!

I'm so tempted to put one on my third gen now...they're just sexy.

Shoutout to the great electricians out there (like, I'm certain, @Thatbassguy).

Mine has been immensely helpful with the garage project, pointing out things I didn't know and the corners that were cut by the prior homeowners/electrical company. This has been a good learning experience and remphasizes the importance of quality work.

Edit: for example, which James may appreciate, I just found out that my main home panel has a neutral shared by three circuits...overloading that would cook my appliances.

 

So long as you don't request a group mod day to help with that hard on....

The camper suggestion is precisely because you’re gonna sleep on it, in shorts…in the middle of winter.

The modular idea is great, you could even put 4 legs on the camper that crank down for easy on/off. Same thing, put the legs on the Aussie tray you’ll build. And the wrecker module for trail recoveries, and the mobile bike repair workshop module….and…the options are limitless!!!!

 

I’m thinking he needs multiple recessed tie down spot for all the modules.

Yes. Yes I do. I also realized that I neglected to included recovery shackle mounts on the back. That Aussie look is clean, but I tend to get stuck. Next weeks project.

Wisconsin hive mind: I need to mount my license plate on the back of the flatbed. The Federal regulations have been changed from 15 degrees to 30 degrees from vertical, but Wi statutes 341.15 says they must be: (2)Registration plates shall be attached firmly and rigidly in a horizontal position and conspicuous place. The plates shall at all times be maintained in a legible condition and shall be so displayed that they can be readily and distinctly seen and read. Any peace officer may require the operator of any vehicle on which plates are not properly displayed to display such plates as required by this section.

So what have all you motorcycle guys done? I have a light. No big deal to make it horizontal, but much easier to have it on the angled back panel... Thinking a receiver mount, but that is not permanently affixed, so not the letter of the law (and can be stolen...) Trying to be lazy, and like the look of it flat against the back panel better... Back panel is @40 degrees so a bit steeper than the Fed reg and way off of WIsconsin's...

Ideas???
