I'll arrive in a pretty body :D ....in a cloud of smoke from the Marlboro's and :rasta:. I will be used up and worn out. Playing hockey 3 days a week is killing me.

No one in my family has gotten past 73... except, my gramma Sue. She made it to her mid 80s. I never met either of my grand fathers as they died in their 50s. My brother is 72... hoping he breaks the barrier.

The men on my dad’s side average around 65 years. Due to modern medicine, he made it to 88. My brother only got 51.

Likewise!! You should hang with us at an outing sometime. It's a great bunch of misfits. I'm gonna check out that 4Lakes 4x4 group you mentioned.

Can't give a like to that either.

Our deepest condolences from my family to yours.

As others have mentioned, if you need anything at all the group is here for you.

Fun fact: If you are employed, you get money on payday. Money is made to be spent. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. You earned it.

The hard part is which fruits to enjoy.

I've mentioned before, the experimental levellers were to give me an idea of ride height. 2.5"F/1.5"R
Threads I'm reading give various responses (as w/ most) on the height they got w/ icon aal. It wasn't a consistent number.
For the ride I'm going for I think the aal without the overload will suit my needs as long as it gives the advertised 1.5".

If it sags over time or doesn't give the full 1.5" then I'd probably drop the front to 2 with new coilovers.

    Thinking out loud

Here's another one of my bright ideas for those of you who change tires out and want to prevent dry rot. Brush this on them.
We use this on rubber rollers of unused printing units. As product states it won't sling at high speeds. Can be cleaned up with light solvents.
    https://www.printingsuppliesdirect....eglazers-and-cleaners/febo-lube-2000-5-lb-tub

Could use a spray oil for that matter. Mineral spirits would clean it up without drying out the rubber.

I use a cocoa butter and lanolin blend on my tires. If I take my truck out in the sun, I'll add one part of SPF 30 and make sure to keep her hydrated.

I would leave the overload in as it helps with axle wrap/wheel hop.

I have been great! Sorry I dropped off the map, for a while. I kept meaning to check back in, and finally committed to doing so for 2024. Looking forward to seeing you more often! I'm super interested in Wyalusing and have put it on my calendar, and just reserved Site #142. I don't know yet if I can do the whole stretch 4-7, but I booked it all just in case. I'm also happy to share the spot if anyone is still on the fence.
