I have a spot in line yes. The looks are iffy but they’ve grown on me. The biggest thing personally is the specs and price point are killer. I’ve told @Tigerian and others that once there’s a 500 mile range they’ll be hitting the sweet spot and it’s much more appealing. With 4-500 miles I can start off in the morning (fully autonomous) chill until I get hungry. Recharge and grab some food and do another 4-500 miles. Recharge while at a hotel for the night. That makes road trips doable. 300 mile range and you’ll probably be stopping every 200-250 which is going to add a ton of down time.

the other thing is the price point. It’s MUCH less than people were anticipating and way more capable. It should give everyone else a kick in the ass for sure.

it’s still realistically 4 years out and a lot can change between now and then, both in what else comes to the market and what changes Tesla makes prior to production. The deposit is fully refundable, so there’s really no downside. If it sucks, I get my money back. If it’s awesome, I get one way before anyone else.

 

I'm tempted to order one. I'd rather see what actually gets produced though. Seems like Tesla has a history of big promises
