Ran into a motherfucker of an electrical gremlin when I went to get my emissions done.

No power to pin 16. Wire is fine, 7.5A interior fuse looked fine, otherwise I don't have a 20A for another suspected blown fuse just yet.

I only remember having to jump some pins when I was doing my transmission fluid checks earlier this year. But I can't imagine that was enough to de-pin anything.


To top it all off the ABS sensor I replaced a while back must have had a shitty gasket. Started acting up once all the snow was melted.

Flat springs on a midsize are fine. They'll still hold weight and the ride won't be terrible as if they were super curved. Remember, this isn't the 70s. Metalurgy has improved greatly. Shoot, my Dakar mediums are W shaped and puddle jumper still has its lift and weight bearing capacity.

Why are you jumping pins to check transmission level? There's a level check embedded above the drain plug.

Wheel speed sensor? Should have had a paper gasket, although it the mounting surface has corrosion they don't always sit right. Good luck.

 

Cleaned up the mounting surface this morning and still no luck. If water does make it in there does that just trip a fuse? I already have to get a 20A for the other stuff might as well get a 50A while I'm at it.


Jumped two pins and shifted between neutral and park to get it into check mode after it got to the right temp when I was replacing the fluid.

Trust me I wasn't completely sold at first if it really needed to be so involved just to check fluid level. 3rd gen Auto ftw

I mean... There's a level check tube that is screwed in to your drain plug port on your transmission pan. You can actually do a cold level check as well. That one's nice because you don't have to add a ton of fluid back to the system because when it's warm everything has expanded. But also on the warm fluid check level you're supposed to pin open the cooler.

May I ask why you are checking your fluid levels? Trying to determine if you need a service or not? Debating between a full transmission flush versus a yearly drain and fill?

They were flatter before. There is some curve to them now, bad pic.

Driveline angles changed by about 1 deg but I'm still in range. I'm not touching anything....at least until it 'settles'. if it settles.

 

I like the liter one but I don't dislike the darker one.

You can see more detail in the surroundings where as the darker one is like tunnel vision.
Though the 2nd one looks good, too. it has full focus on the light and what's ahead..,with no distraction.
