I tried that and it didn't work. Not sure why.

On another forum I frequent people are mentioning that wifi calling is not working for them either.

Verizon ain't doing so hot either

Google pixel: auto sets to wificalling when network connection is sketchy *and* you're on a WiFi network

Gotta be connected to WiFi first :D

That's right! I have absolutely no internet service at all right now!

I’ve moved everything I can to OTP for this reason.. nothing worse than being stuck waiting on sms to show up. Or worse, it shows up after it’s already timed out

WiFi calling is great and seriously under utilized. Especially now that the carriers have started to shut down 3g so coverage sucks in more rural areas.

You probably have to have it activated before they have network issues lol

It's been activated for years! It really helps in my office at work. Being a metal building, it's a bit of a Faraday Cage here.

Try teaching... the problem, honestly are the parents...
Rural areas... where I live. I get better reception in the wilderness than around Washburn.

Yes. My wife is on the school board where we live. Parents will blame anything and anyone but themselves for their kids' struggles, poor performance or lack of discipline.

A friend of mine has some ROAM boxes that looked really nice. Plus, they're expensive, so that's a win/win in this group.

I didn't even know what to do this morning. I spent an hour or so in the fetal position, weeping.

Then I went to the AT&T store where I met several other confused and annoyed customers.

Most people were calm, but one guy did yell at the customer service representatives for a few minutes as if they had any control of the situation. I was tempted to say "I don't know if you understand how cell phones work; but, the towers aren't in this store, spaz."

I'm sure a lot of parents are a pain in the ass. But, it seems like we live in a time where it's very important for parents to be involved in their children's education.

Also, there was a woman outside telling everyone that they didn't even know what was really going on, and we were all oblivious. My first thought was that, if she knew what was "really going on", why was she there?

I did wonder if it was a cyber attack. We'll probably never know.

I am also having lots and lots of fun today...seriously about to use a Sharpie and write on my forehead CELL OUTAGE so I can stop saying it before my voice goes out lol. On the plus side though my phone is very quiet today which is fantastic.

"Starting to feel a little cold coming on boss, cough cough" is my next move.

I felt bad for the store employees this morning. I told them they should hang a sign on the door.

Yeti makes a 60 gallon that is pretty decent. Pelican has quite a few choices too. If you want another option that is both bad financial advice and bombproof, go look at the SKB Cases website. I have a hard case for my bow (archery) to take on a plane and I seriously think a 747 could run over it and not do damage. SKB makes lots of stuff for musicians/roadies too which you may have seen in your own musical past life travels. All good companies.

People like the Harbor Freight stuff but I've seen as many good ones as I've seen broken ones. I feel the same about some random no-name brand on Amazon that sounds like it was made up by random letters on ChatGPT. Buy once cry once and stick with the known good brands.

Edit: Just searching quickly on Facejerk Marketspace there seem to be a ton of used cases for decent prices. If anyone ever finds junk down here in the SE metro concrete hellscape just let us city folk know and we can work out a TWExpress or what not.

Edit 2: OK gotta go back to work and stop searching but these look interesting and it says they will ship them for $55? Looks like a surplus warehouse so probably not a scam. Not sure if the size is right for ya though. Good luck.

I honestly just pop in my earbuds and leave my phone in my jacket. It's bad enough how many people here at my job are on the damn things while I'm trying to tell them what's going on for the day. Can't give them a reason to point fingers my way as well:bananadead:

My wife admittedly hates it, but if it's important enough she can call. Thanks to the magic of technology wearables, I become a human vibrator when she does so....... it's a win-win

They went from $100 to $250 pretty quick... I think I will buy something under $100 (HF) and see how long it lasts!
