Oh there will be some mods all right
Oh don't I know it lol. They are awesome looking tires but both me and my truck are not at a point in our lives where 35s would work. They make a 33 x 10.5 and I would be all over that except for it's only in 17 inch wheels.

    It's only money...:spending:

If Falken's 90 day proclamation is true, that puts them out to early June. Luckily I'm still at roughly 10/32 tread depth, so I can wait a bit.

Definitely an option but I already have spent far too much money on my truck in the past 6 months The last thing I need is to be spending money on wheels too

My google-fu is not cooperating tonight. I was trying to find "when to replac AT tires" thresh hold and all I can find is info for passenger car tires. Any idea what the min tread depth is for AT's?

On road would be the same as passenger car tires. Off road, I guess it would depend on what your threshold for getting stuck would be. The less tread depth, the less effective they'd be in mud or sand.

That's about what my Toyo's were. Last week the Taco went in for an alignment. So I said put some tires on it. I went with the Toyo Open Country ATlll again, 285/70/17. This time the C Load.

I do believe the 2024 models mostly come with 17" wheels as the base size with optional 18" wheels on some higher trims. Apparently you can also fit 33" tires with no modification and in some cases maybe even 35s. Just saying.

I mean.... I was using my 3/8 socket wrench just fine on the trucks at work. :anonymous:

Tundra backseat had a space shuttles load worth more room than a taco back seat.

You know, I think some (maybe a lot?) of the problems with those drain plugs is that people don't clean them enough to get the Allen fully seated which allows the wrench to slip/twist and ruin the socket. Once this happens, the plug is junk and will be an absolute bitch to remove.

I learned a long time ago working on VWs (aircooled), how critical getting the Allen wrench properly engaged is to being successful removing such fasteners. They had some notorious Allen bolts and plugs in places that could be a bitch to get to and if you f@cked one up, you were going to have to take a whole lot more apart to remove said bolt/plug.

With my Firestone AT/2s, I learned I couldn't make a mileage warranty claim on them until they were at 4/32nds. I sold them when they were at 9/32nds. Could have gotten another year out of them probably but the Mickeys were calling to me.

I have learned that taking that extra minute to get the right angle etc makes a world of different down the line.

Same thing for tundra t cases, why not just use the 24 mm head like the resr diff....

That's my favorite flavor of coffee

I've got a whole fleet I spray every year now. Seems the family is finally catching on lol
