I'm camping in Albert Lea MN tonight... This is what NOAA has to say:
    This Afternoon
A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 34. East southeast wind around 5 mph.
    Tonight
Snow, mainly after 10pm. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 27. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Probably should put the tarp on.

I doubt they use brine. Stuff isn't good below 20 or 15.

More likely it's liquid calcium chloride, that way they only have to keep one set of tanks and don't have to worry about switching out liquid mixtures in the trucks when the weather changes.

As I was reading this, the weather was on the radio. Yesterday, I expected to have conditions improve as I headed south. Well the storm track has changed and now it seems I/we are heading into the worst of it.

I hadn't thought about bringing the snow brush. I better grab it.

My start to the Arkansas adventure has already been off to a rough start.
I was packing the bed and decided to be a bit extra and tie things down. I was using one of my “good” bungee cords with the carabiner ends when it got away and smashed the back window.

I went through all 4 stages of grief in about three minutes.

Field fix is in place and I have finished packing.
Safelite appointment is set for April 1st :spending:

boy I hope this is the worst of it.

Oh Dennis! is delicious. I really should go there more as it's just down the road.

I haven't had them but a good friend swears that the best ribs in Wisconsin are Speed Queen on the Northside of Milwaukee.

Dang that’s no fun, stay safe out there Dean! Don’t let your luggage destroy the Taco, save that for the rocks, rivers, and where ever else your group leader/damage instigator leads you!

Had not heard of Speed Queen before. Just looked it up. Definitely on the to-do list now, yummm….

Hey now... don't project Jonathan's bad luck on me! :D Let's all hope that window is the most expensive thing broken on this trip. Sorry you had to be the first to take one for the team, Jonathan.

I've had Speed Queen a few times many years ago. It's worth the hype. I do recall ordering through a bullet proof glass window. It's a bit sketchy there, but when you smell the smoke from the parking lot there's no turning back.
