That's crazy. I wasn't aware they got earthquakes, either.
I've traveled to many places and always said that you can go visit anywhere you like....... the Midwest is actually a great region to live.

Decided on 2 - smart single poles (Center led on one and side 2 leds on the other)
and a 3 way dimmer off a kitchen switch for a single bulb and entry light.
    Waiting on smart dimmer switch.
Putting this where the 'Oh shit' handle was if you watched the other thread.20240406_060253.jpg
Also need to eliminate this outlet with a junction box up above. That 'outlet' is no more than an extension chord that's ran above the ceiling and back through, only to plug into a wall outlet behind my toolbox....the kind of stuff I run into here.

Don't have to leave the house to hit road blocks.
3 gang box isn't going to fit without some cutting. :sawzall:
Going to need the reciprocating saw and hope these cards don't come tumbling down. :blahblah:

Earthquakes can occur anywhere. The largest in recorded history for North America was in New Madrid, Missouri 1811-1812. Uprooted forests and caused the Mississippi River to run backwards among other catastrophic results.

Moved the riverbed about 3 miles to the west. You can still see the difference when driving in that area

Have read that there are many geologic features still clearly visible today like sand blows. There is a book, The Lost History of the New Madrid Earthquakes that explains things in minutia.

When the grassy field instantly turns to marshy swamp and you get hung up on an ice shelf that dropped off.
    Help is on the way.
I didn't want to go this far but the previous hole I didn't want to go back through, either.

Fucking tow truck guy ditched us, (gave up on finding us and started taking other calls.)
    It's alright, I guess he wanted $500.
Leaving the truck overnight and my coworker is going to get it out tomorrow.
Locker or crawl mode wasn't getting me out of that one.

Whelp. Never wheel alone. Also doubt a tow truck would've done well out there.

    Next stop.... Traction boards!

    They were sending a tractor.
I'm not the 1st or last person to get stuck in that area. lol

High lift jack might have helped me outta that one? Pretty sure front d.s. tire isn't touching ground and its almost fully submerged. Water is almost up to the door and I feel the truck is resting on sliders. it's just bottomed

The path to was up a hill, down a hill, mudhole, repeat until it didn't.
