I didn’t intend to spend a good part of my day in the garage working on the truck. I just wanted to fix the valve stems I damaged at SMORR.
    IMG_4149.jpg
I now have the proper size thread die for schrader valves should anyone need it. I had to fix the buggered up threads and file down the end to make a sealing surface. Now I’m set to air down and back up at Tigerton.

Since I was out there already. I used some reclaimed German plywood from a shipping crate to make a Bam Board set up.
    IMG_4150.jpg
I had enough wood for two variations. one that sits tight to my traction boards and another that leaves enough space to let me pull them out without taking the wood out.
    IMG_4153.jpg
Not sure yet how it will fit into my overall storage plans. But it only cost me an afternoon.

Looks great Jon! Tomorrow's the day for working on the truck in the garage...they're calling for rain (here).

Thanks to the helpful folks here, I got the Auxbeam all wired up, and reconnected my light bar last weekend.

Today, I pulled my back bumper back off to install the lights. What a bitch. The description said room for 7" light bars. Well, there's plenty of room...the mounts are 8" apart. Had to make spacers, buy much longer screws. They are done, the bumper is back on and the harness I built has been run up the frame, under the hood and hooked up.

Amber chase light and a flood, if needed around the campsite.

Ditch lights still have to be hooked up.

I’ve been slacking off on the sliders…got one of them done, but the other has been sitting half-stripped for a week. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. It seems I need at least half a day min to get myself to actually work on stuff. Still got winter brain I need to get rid of…probably because I missed the Wyalusing trip lol. I need put quality time with the angle grinder, and soon, so I don’t have to show up to tigerton with my rocker panels hanging in the breeze. Also want to get some changes to the roof rack done.

On the plus side, I got me some stickers!!! I tried to peel them it off to put them on my toolbox, but they’re on there pretty good. Don’t think they’re coming off.

This sticker followed a few days later.

    IMG_3741.jpg

With these stickers, I’ve finally commitment to the “van down by river-glamping edition” lifestyle! I was hesitating on the purchase for a while now, but they had a pretty good deal going on. Not sure how the battery pack will do since it seem to have just come out, but I suspect these are all pretty close to the same thing. We shall see. It’s been running the fridge at 30 degrees (indoors) for about 24 hrs, and it’s still has about 70 percent capacity remaining.

It can charge off AC at 800w, which sounds fantastic to me. But I still don’t know if it will accept the modified/square wave 400w current from the 4runner’s inverter. I’m not holding my breath based on what other battery packs accept. Once I run the battery down I’ll test it.

Of course it will rain. I spent Friday night and good chunk of Sat washing, clay barring, buffing, polishing and ceramic coated the pick up.

Wasn’t that immediately after your 4runner got done birthing babies? It was just probably exhausted and needed one of those relaxing mud baths. ;):p

That’s a pretty common race car thing. Racing is expensive enough without stacking a truck and trailer on top
