Well, I done went and did it. Hit the Pay Now button at checkout on a bumper.

I've been looking at high clearance rear bumpers for weeks, going back and forth trying to make a decision. I finally settled on one that I just kept coming back to. Getting the C4 Rock Runner in the double tube side style: https://c4fabrication.com/collectio...ar-bumper-3rd-gen-2016?variant=44068943134941

I just love the look, and the price is right compared to others. They also had a Father's Day sale that saved me $150. Free shipping and 8 week lead time. Only downside is that it comes bare metal and I'll have to paint or coat it. I have 8 weeks to decide what I want to do there, and I know you guys have opinions on that!

Congrats! It feels good spending money, doesn't it? :spending:

Hopefully, it gets here with enough time to get it painted (or whatever) and scraped up yet this fall!

So their site says it will ship within 8 weeks, so technically it may ship tomorrow. :D :fingerscrossed:

Excellent! I mean, I'm not afraid of taking the grinder to the bed panels to cut, but a little moral support before that first cut may be necessary. Maybe a fun mod day at my place followed by some BBQ at Red Bar's Saucy Swine.

Mine dropped out a couple of times very briefly. The plus side of living so close to the power plant is my power usually doesn’t drop out for long. If it does it’s something major.
Downside is I’m probably going to get cancer from the coal dust.

fun fact. The We Energy Oak Creek plant is the 5th largest coal plant in North America. They also have a 90 day supply of coal on site.

Decided to finally crack open some of the Taiwan beer courtesy of @Pixeltim

It was a fitting day to do it in the garage - I'm not a patch guy, but these are hilarious and arrived today. They're worn by Taiwan fighter pilots because they claim Xi Jinping looks like Winnie the Pooh. The black bear is a Formosan black bear and apparently is a symbol of their independence. Whole new take on "poking the bear."

I'm in for moral support, and to provide a set of hands as needed. Barring any scheduling conflicts. I have an obnoxious amount of plans for the whole summer already. It's weird, because it's all stuff I want to do. But, I need some free weekends to wander around solo sometimes.

BBQ sounds good, too! I've been to that place only once, but I thought I liked it.

I celebrated today by grilling out. I tried grilled eggplant, which turned out delicious! And, a burger with grilled pineapple and Swiss cheese. Surprisingly good!

I’ve been eyeing those up for a few years. Looks like a fun way to deal with flies. I spent too much time watching slo-mo utube fly sniper vids. Price has been a smidge high so I never pulled the trigger, so to speak.

@rubbersidedown what is it you're going to be installing? (Next post answered that…bumper!!!!). I’m game for handing out wrenches or being an extra hand.

BTW, I will attest to the effectiveness of James’ supervisory skills. If he hadn’t come over, I might still be working on
installing my dobinsons. Sometimes just that extra set of eyes, an observation from somebody else, or not wanting to look like a slow poke, helps focus the mind and just git r done. :D

No accusations. Just a comment on your willingness to jump into things both feet and trust it will work out well. I know that (at least these days) I find myself contemplating something like his bumper trimming more (possibly too much). For this reason, I don't foresee my going beyond 33s.
