^^^This. @Camerasandcoffee helped me install mine and everything went fine. I agree with the advice of getting it together, but then tightening and torqueing once all support is removed. And then recheck after a couple drives.

As I've said before, I definitely got more than the advertised 2.5" at first, but it settled down after a while. I believe Ironman says give it 1500 miles. I know I noted my lift measurements somewhere and I feel like I should check again now after a year and a half and around 30,000 miles.

Happy Monday afternoon from California. Delicious afternoon beers tend to happen when I'm with my brother.

Before you torque everything down measure, those centering pins are not a tite fit.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
I never shimmed mine and I believe most don't need to. I would start without and look to add a shim only if you have driveline vibrations.
Ideally the new springs should bring the truck back to level-ish so the diff will be in the correct normal position.

If you have a motorcycle/ATV jack that works great for supporting the axle and to raise and lower it.

Gents, I've been searching as best as I can but can't find anything. Wondering if anyone can recommend any shops around Madison or Waukesha area that can help me with some lift kit options. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

These boys have been around for a long time. Don't let their run-down shop conditions fool you.

I've seen that stuff mentioned in the drinking thread on the 4Runner forum. It's supposed to be really good.

Edit: yes, we have a drinking thread over there. I'll give you 3 guesses who started it. ;)
