A sharpener is super cheap and it takes like 5 minutes. I keep a spare chain in the box incase I ever need it.

@Tigerian can tell you more about chainsaws and trees. He did plenty of that up in northern Minnesota for the DNR

I use mine all the time around the house. It’s plenty for occasional use.

viar 400p is solid if you want a dedicated one for the vehicle. I mostly use my arb single these days. I’ve also got the twin but that one doesn’t get used much.

But, but... this is a perfect excuse to do some custom wiring! You could add a proper plug in the bed, and add the corresponding cord end to the inflator!

    I'm trying to help! :D

This is a dc 12v compressor. The plug in the bed is ac 120v

you can’t just put on a different plug.

I’ll let the local sparky tell you why that’s bad.

    You've all been very helpful.

My takeaway is yes it can be rewired and yes there are other options.
@pearing I'll give you that $50 for it.

It wouldn't be too hard to run a fused 2 gauge (?) wire back and into the cubby with an Anderson connector (or whatever you come up with) for DC power in the bed. You would only need a couple of feet of ground wire, which could be bolted to the frame.

    There's a :spending::spending: solution to every lazy-assed (;)) problem out there. :boink::rofl::anonymous:

If you really wanna be lazy, you need a mounted compressor with a retractable hose.

Just run power and a distribution block. Then it’s already there for when you finally decide to put in a fridge

When I bought this saw, I bought 2 extra chains, because like guns 2 is 1 and 1 is none.

I have all that room where the spare was. Could mount it under there and have the hose come out where the spare hoist tool goes through the bumper! :D

How many amps is an Anderson plug rated? The compressor is only rated to draw 30A. That should only require 10AWG. :notsure:

This is the best idea yet!

Anderson plugs are rated at 50-175A. I knew you'd come up with the correct wire gauge off the top of your head, I'd have to look it up...feeble old mind and all.
