There is no justification for the shit that is going on all over the country right now. People are acting like idiots. Marching onto a freeway and blocking traffic is not a protest, it just causes chaos.

Super sad. I had no idea of the curfew. Just had the family dinner at a local ihop (1st time at a restaurant since the Covid-lockdown) I hit menards for a few items for some projects and went to stop at Walgreens to pickup prescriptions. The sign on the door said “Closed due to certain situations in the area.” I was like wow.

And on that note. I’m out of this thread.. God I can’t wait to move back to NM.

I hope it wasn't what I said. I'm just as pissed at those shitty cops as I am the people who can't protest peacefully.

Let's try not to have this turn into a political debate!

Nobody is happy about the shit that's going on right now. Let's try to remember that the troublemakers are a small percentage of the ones protesting.

no no, of course it’s not you! I’m still following the WI camping thread. And will definitely try to make it out on a run with you guys this summer.

As soon as I get my truck back together I’ll be running the pipe line. Again. Watching videos of proper hard trails out west, make me want to run the hard part of the pipeline again.

Did you get the Kings back?

I might be on the pipeline Friday, if thing go well this week. I'm very tempted to attempt the rock climb. I might be with Nate from Performance off-road.

No I take them in to those guys tomorrow morning. Not sure how long they will take. Friday is a no go though, since the wife and I are driving to Virginia to pick up a bumper and visit friends on Saturday, we will be out for a week.

    Have a great trip!

Hopefully the camping trip will go as planned. If we have to cancel, I'll still be up there to run the trails. And, I'll probably try to get up there about once a month regardless, if possible.

    What kind of bumper?:)

Closing the freeway to protest is non-violent. Yes it’s a hassle to have freeways closed. However,
Driving at the protestors in your 18-wheeler is violent. That’s why he was pulled from his rig and subsequently arrested.

What's confusing is how the truck driver got there to begin with. Did he go through barricades? Obviously he was way out of line. And, he's lucky that there was someone around to talk the group out of throwing him off the bridge.

Closing the freeway for a protest is one thing. If they work with the local government and highway department to set up an organized event, that's fine. But, marching onto a freeway while it's open and hitting cars with bats and signs is not productive at all.

There's been a lot of stupid behavior on both sides of this issue. It's unfortunate that a handful of dipshits (again, on both sides) insist on making things worse.

I'll be irritated if I have to reroute myself due to roads being shut down, but I'm not about to try driving through a demonstration. That's just asking for trouble.

I hope we can do a Wednesday evening or Thursday evening meet there again soon! I'm out of town almost every weekend for the next month. I'm sure July will fill up soon as well.

I’m in for a beer at the park. I know this Thursday I have something going on , but I’m down for a weeknight beer run. I can probably be there by 4-4:30 most days.

Let's keep in touch. Maybe next Wednesday or Thursday. I could get to Kenosha by 5 or so most weekdays.
