I've spent 3 hrs researching this damn thing. Seems it is a true plug-and-play. No wires to run, no 2nd battery, portable. Can be charged with a solar panel. Simply plug it in. Battery will fully charge in a couple of hours from the car or 6 hrs + using the solar panels. The info that I found, Anker has a pretty good reputation. I think my wallet may be a bit lighter next week. If I pull the trigger, I'd get the 40L fridge, and the Anker model 625 100w solar panel.

Thoughts from the gallery? Good and bad.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
He didn't care for the Rav4 but did really like the Corolla Cross. After getting numbers, decided to go back to Subaru to get their best number. The CrossTrek won out, Subaru will be in the driveway tomorrow.

Got the old car towed from his employer's parking lot. The tow driver said it was the 3rd Focus he'd towed today for starter issues. I'm not absolutely convinced it's the starter. With the other issues that have popped up in the past couple of months, I wonder if there's a ground issue somewhere.

edit: Thanks to all for the ideas and tips.

Anker is pretty solid. I’ve had lots of their batteries and cables over the years.

Aside from their Eufy security cameras letting anyone spy on you unencrypted and the company being shady about it, and some of their cables having problem melting or catching fire, they are generally good. I have some of their power banks, cables, and bluetooth headphones and they all work fine.

The only cameras I trust are ones running HomeKit secure video.

I’ve got a pretty good track record of products I buy being acquired shortly after - nest, blink, eero. I’m sure there’s others I’ve forgot about. So far Amazon hasn’t ruined blink and eero but it’s probably a matter of time. My nest was great until the acquisition then started having all kinds of issues. When I moved I put in an ecobee and haven’t had any problems.

Older model? What's the difference other than $250?

The 40 that you linked to is single zone (fridge only), 43L capacity, and $250 more expensive.
The 50 that Tyler linked to is dual zone (fridge and freezer), 53L capacity total, and $250 less expensive.
Edit: Appears the BestBuy unit is a time-sensitive deal that expires in 3 hours.

This seems appealing to me, as well. If you go for it, I'll be very interested in your feedback. Hopefully it works out well!

Sorry. Dave said he'd be looking at the 40L at the end of his post.
Was comparing to the Best Buy 40L

The one to the bozos link says freezing ability in the description. :notsure:

The 50 won't work for me. It'll be set up so when I open the back door, the cooler is right there. The 50 is too long and would partially be under the shelf I have in the cargo area. I wouldn't be able to get the left side lid open.

OK then. I was just trying to help answer what the difference was between them. Tyler shared the link to the 50, wasn't from me. Good luck.

Fridge is $600, solar panel is $300. I was leaning toward getting a KickAss Battery Box and a real fridge. The battery box with a lithium battery is $1500. I haven't looked into fridge prices.

    Ya, my bad.
Nobody ever said I was easy to understand. I'm a graphics guy. I need to use pictures and links. :D

I was trying to prevent Dave from spending $800 on a BestBuy 40L, if it was the same as the Amazon 40L for $600.

I mean whichever one comes with stickers is clearly the superior fridge

There's really no other way to put it.

I always trusted the Kicker brand but my terminals and blocks didn't come with stickers.
I'm beginning to question the integrity of their products.
