Trying to decide where to put the chase light.
I can get longer bolts and mount it to the underside too.

Asking because I'm not the one that has to look at them. heh

I think id rather just keep the tire under the truck or block the window completely.

    I was thinking side and underneath.20241108_145735.jpg 20241108_145757.jpg
On top makes it more appealing for someone to F with in the mall parking lot.

As far as the tire, I'm having mixed thoughts but it's not for everyday driving, so..??..??.??..I'll see.

My wife has given up asking about changes. She never likes them etc. and its my island, so you can guess how it goes. She likes the trips though...

If those would've been out when I put the Nitrochargers on the back, I'd be sitting on those in the rear, too.
    Nitrochargers are good ride, IMO
I can only speculate the MT64 rear shocks to be a little smoother.

My cot sits right up to the top of the bed.
The tire is up so I can get my feet under it but low enough to keep around roof height.
I'm also attempting to keep weight evenly distributed and balanced at the same time as I add more mods.
    (emphasis on 'attempting')

What are these rear anytime cameras??

I like this!!! They seem to fit almost too well in that spot.

Now you just need some Molle panels on the sides of the bed rack to put all your recovery gear so that people at the mall will know that you wheel.

This is what I used cuz it was integrated with the steering wheel controls to activate the camera

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DKH6J4W

You can also get kits activated with a separate button

Is there some reason you are mounting them on the front bar instead of the rear? On the front bar there’s gonna be more places they are blocked for someone behind you, especially if mounted under the bar

    Cheers boys!

Been a long week and this is definitely needed.

To add to my drinking woes, I spoke with the events coordinator..... it looks like only Tigerton In August will be a possibility. Toddler and a newborn will be just too much stress on her......and me by extension

With that being said I'll take advantage and shop around more/dial in my weight needs, since me and @Pixeltim won't be Dobi-bros anymore :(

Edit: That's not to say I wouldn't be available to help with the mod day. I could learn a thing or two about what will be needed when I do finally settle on a lift.

    No reason.
I initially thought I might be able to take the back bar off for day trips and the chase lights would remain on the front.

The bars won't be easily removable, so I can definitely keep them on the back bar.

With the second gen I bought a pre made harness and wired a switch that allows me to turn on the camera at any time. Use it a lot! One of the best mods I have made to the truck

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Some of you may remember a discussion a couple of weeks back about what to do bout Dean's spare. Well, after some discussions and getting some measurements, we have a solution.
    20241108_170942.jpg

Still needs one weld, ran out of gas for the welder. The end by the wrench, will sit on the 'shelf' on the side of the bed. It will be attached to the side, front and floor of the bed with M8 bolts. The upright is 20" from the right side of the bed and 10" tall, so Dean will have plenty of room for his feet when camping. Also, the spare will only intrude about 1" into the view from the rear window.
