I like it. Over built I hope as those tires are heavy... just speaking from experience.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
90#, according to Dean. Tubing is 1 1/4" .065, 1x3" .095, and 1" .083. The plan is to attach with 9 bolts. I may add 2 cross bars yet to support the wheel better.

edit: I told Dean my goal is that this is strong enough in case of a wreck. Looking at strength charts, I think we're going to be OK.

    Pat, your welcome.
I'm glad that I've been able to suggest something that you and so many other people enjoy.
I like to think it's my way of saying Thank You for everything you and everyone else has done for me.
Arbuckles have raised their prices. That's not going to stop me from purchasing their fine product.

Flexible lines, I got mine from .... (Edit) Marlin Crawler. Can find them at several vendors, like 4wparts etc.

For hard lines, you can use generic brake lines from auto parts stores and then carefully bend them yourself.

I'm excited about this! Rich has gone through some great QC testing and I'm confident this will be a very solid mount that will serve me well. Looking forward to getting it installed. My Softopper tent camper extension also arrives tomorrow. I think that gives me enough reasons to try camping a night in it yet this fall...

Hey I was just thinking... @Pixeltim has been spending too much time thinking about himself and his new suspension and we haven't heard anything about a new 2025 calendar for US. C'mon man. How am I supposed to know what date Easter is or what day of the week Kevin Bacon's birthday falls on?

Kidding of course, but I do hope you're still making one. Love the previous two.

    I’m glad everyone enjoys those.
I sure am planning to do that! I guess I need to assemble pictures from everyone here…
I do have my own FTP server, I could set a WI TW folder and give everyone the login info.

Yeah, we could probably do one of those desktop daily calendars with a picture for every day!

I spent a good chunk of the morning doing things the hard way. Trying to put the bed bars on, in what is a seemingly impossible way.
Then a pkg shows up.(??????). Wasn't expecting anything.
Brackets that will turn my seemingly impossible way into a much easier way.Screenshot_20241109_201127_Gallery.jpg

I didn't like this easier way because it will leave a slight gap.
Onward and upward with the hard way.
(I'll probably end up doing it the easier way and filling the gap with a heavy weather stripping).

Mounting the lights didn't go 'as expected' either but they're on now. Still have to wire them in.Screenshot_20241109_200729_Gallery.jpg

Was one of those days I should've made that video @Thatbassguy requested with me cursing and throwing, dropping wrenches, nuts/washers into those areas where you can see light shining on it but can't quite reach it, you know those spots.

Yesterday was maintenance day. But not on the truck.
Spoon maintenance. All are hand carved by Dean @rubbersidedown .

So technically this is truck related and spending money.

I want to see a pic with the bed cover rolled up under those things.

Remember, bird watching goes both ways

    Ya.
In a minute I'll get back up in there. Had to go get some longer bolts from Menards.

It doesn't roll perfectly past the bars. It needs to be jockeyed a bit.

Visibility? even less though anytime I drive around with the tonneau rolled up is because there's a large, view-blocking, object in the bed.

For sleeping purposes I might only have to get past the chase bar.

    20241110_094017.jpg 20241110_094054.jpg
There's a smaller 'flush mount' bolt that I believe is for the top bracket bolt. It would have to go from the outside in. The head of the bolt will leave more gap between the tonneau and bed.
I'm making things difficult by going inside out and trying to get a threaded plate in between the bed wall and fender.

Looking good Dan! Hope they're getting some good use. I made my mom a really nice end grain cutting board and she never uses it. Just sits on the counter top. "I don't want to ruin it with knives."
