    You are correct Pat.
but my wife retires next week.
All you guys need any Mary Key skin care products?:notsure:
Yesterday I tried to convince my wife about getting a ATH high clearance rear bumper. She doesn't like the idea of cutting the bedsides.

Show her a picture of Dean's @rubbersidedown truck-looks sexy fantastic! She will see the light. You really need to take her with you so she understands the WHY of the bumper. Sharon, when we hit things goes "what was that" and I explain that with just a few modifications and $$$'s that it and her anxiety can go away... But, in all honesty it is always a compromise because, well... because.

Her plan,,,,Selling her Mary Key stuff.
I don't expect her to do any cooking or baking.
Maybe we'll do more stuff together.
It will be a change, that's for sure.

I'm the perfect place for this crew.

    It's a coffee shop/kids indoor playground.
I'm enjoying a cup of coffee( not Arbuckles) while watching my grandsons ages 3+5 play.
    Life is good.

Wife asked me to go out to the Mennonite store and pick up a few this morning. Since it was on the way to the Penokees, I managed to get a 100+ mile offroad adventure into the trip. Only drove 15 miles of pavement door to door. Contrary to what some think on here I do have some common sense: 200+ yards of mudhole that the ATV's have been going around, 9 degrees, 4 inches of new snow, not cold enough long enough to solidify that mess, I opted out and turned around (twice!!!).

    IMG_0043.jpg

Did find Wren falls and a new route from Hwy 77 across to Hwy 13. Nice way to spend the morning... I live in a pretty cool place!

Mexicali is pretty good with a splash of Kahlua "flavored" creamer.
Probably better with actual Kahlua but it is what it is. :D

Nice. Your legs don't hit? That is a nice set up. I like the Pelican case, but be aware of putting wet recovery gear in there as it will mold/rust and never dry...

I might drill a couple holes in the bottom of the case for mounting to the bed bars....(flush mount bolts coming from underneath, rubber washers and a wing nut inside)

Good with the legs..a benefit of being short.20241201_091947.jpg
If I can do a partial setup before I go places. It'll setup and breakdown fairly quick (as long as I remember my stepstool)
For takedown, I can just drop the poles by the taillights. Fold those ends up a notch and roll the tonneau back.
The bedbars aid in setup by having something to brace the back of the tent to while assembling the rest by the tailgate.20241201_083204.jpg
I'm hiding out in here, like a kid in his fort....with my coffee.

Our local ski area uses various toyota iterations on tracks to move things around, groom xc trails etc.

So, I got some Arbuckle's coffee in the mail.

    I don't think I ordered it.

Either someone around here is very generous... or, I need to cut back on tequila. :notsure:

Seeing Brian's setup (nice, BTW) motivated me to get out in the cold and get my new rack, the @OldSchlPunk special, mounted in the truck. I've had it sitting painted in the garage for a week, but a busy work week and lots of family stuff delayed the installation. I know... where are my priorities?

It's solid and I think it was a great collaboration and solution. Thanks again to Rich! Here's hoping for a weekend in the 40s to get out and try camping under the Softopper!

Of course I forgot to paint the handle. That can wait for a warmer day. Rich also provided me with some square plastic end cap plugs, but I had left them in the cold garage and didn't want to crack the plastic putting them in. (It's 20°F here.) they're in the house to warm up now.
