Oh there will be some mods all right
I ran them on both my tacomas and wasn't impressed either time. 6112s forever get a recommendation from me but not 5160s

That's how I feel about the 6112 and 5100. If they made a rear shock that was truly comparable to the 6112, I'd probably go Bilstein again. I think Bilstein is missing some sales by not offering this.

I guess I'm going to have to start doing some actual research. I'm very happy with the stance I have right now so I'm going to keep the Bilstein rear springs. But, I'm not sure if I will be able to match the ride height in front with the OME's. Although, I can live with an extra quarter inch or so.

I think the non bypass 8100 would be the equivalent

Is there a setting for half steel bumper and winch?

I'd probably like them, but they're expensive!

I don't like what I'm looking at, at all. Weight should be carried by the spring. Compensating for weight with preload sounds like the result of buying the wrong stuff.

    Descriptions aren't very good.

I think it's all assuming to keep a 2" lift.
It was a guess setting mine to #4 because I wanted 2" or even a little less was alright.

No bumper. Receiver and occasional winch.
(edit: They don't factor in skids but I added extra for them).

yep. the proper spring for the weight and height is the best way to go.

adjusting the collars is convenient if you are building over time but theres a trade off in ride quality.

You could stop by Locked Offroad in Florida and do a REAL upgrade.

My MT64'S will be well wore out by the time I'm ready to commit my truck to a full-time offroading machine.

Trying to stay somewhere in the middle for now.

Bought some replacement low beams while at FF.
No fancy upgrade, just a brighter white H11.

Pearing said something similar not long ago. Just saying.

Just telling you. I’m still keeping mine bone stock. There’s no need for all that expensive and heavy crap. Pffft

MT64's will be a REAL upgrade over the Bilsteins.

    Most expensive answer, maybe.

I don't foresee any point in my life when I'll need a dedicated off-road vehicle. I like having a vehicle that I can drive to the trails without hating it. :D
