    It was traumatic here!
Pea sized hail for several minutes and damn! The power went off. Of course it came back about a second later. Maybe it was two seconds.

We had pea and marble sized hail here, lots of wind and rain. I'm on call for work, and somehow not one of our 18 stores lost power, which is plain stupid weird considering a couple of them will lose power if a squirrel farts on a power line outside.

Did some light reading about replacing seals in the rear axle (Videos too) and realize that I may as well replace the rear bearings too. At 130k and why do it twice if I am already there. Ordered $300 in specialty tools that I could make if I had time (but I don't and so it goes...) The bearing press tool and a seal press tool that I have long needed. I am committing to this rear end for a while. Would love to change it up but I just don't see it in the next couple of years and I need to get my space sorted out and fabrication tools purchased since I don't think I will have minions much longer.

Water is a common problem with the Toyota rearend. Now I tell you guys... well, my guess is after three trips down south and lots of submersible time I have water damage-a rumble has been on my radar for a while and I have been thinking rear axle bearings. Funny that. Also going to change the breather even though I just did it last year. For those who have followed me into the muck these past few years, these are things to consider as you are not sleeping at night...

But now I have the tools so you don't have to.

I have a to-do list that involves some more cleaning of the rear brake area......
After Adam shared that cleaning video I cleaned up the front brakes.
That's when I noticed oil leaking from where the rear main seal is.

    Well....what's the damage report?

Apparently cars at work got some damage. A coworker's Subaru got beat up pretty good.

The hail, here, must've been worse than it looked.

    No damage at the house.
Tornado southwest of us and another possible tornado just a few miles north.

Had to re-set the clock on the stove. No hail, but a few really high gusts of wind with horizontal rain. Seems the worst went just to the northwest and southeast of us.
