My buddy bought a forclosure & rehabbed it for his son, the rebates paid for all the appliances.

What do you have from C4? Love my Rock Runner rear bumper. RCI just didn't have the look and clearance I wanted in a high clearance rear bumper. The RR from C4 has gotten a lot of praise from this group, and I've landed hard on it several times and rattled my bones. It's solid. I'm on the fence about their front bumpers.

So, what are you looking for in a front bumper?

But they're not really rebates. Everything is just marked up 11%. It's marketing. People see it as a deal, but most never actually fill out the form and send in the receipt for the rebate. I've only done it when I've spent a significant amount, like when I got some hardware there when I built my deck, or when we replaced light fixtures in the house. Things like over a couple hundred bucks.

Mr. Menard and his family are living high on the hog (2nd wealthiest man in the state, I believe) because you paid an extra 11% when you stopped in to grab a couple warped 2x4s and couldn't be bothered to send in your rebate form.

I don't hate Menard's as a big box DIY store. Serves its purpose and I spend a fair amount of money there. I just dislike that they know I'm too lazy to do the work for a $4 "rebate" check (which, by the way, is only good for buying more shitty lumber or other Menard's product) and that $4 goes to a billionaire running a privately held company.

Well, Chuck, I'm looking for rugged good looks, trustworthiness, a winning personality, a sense of humor, high clearance and an affinity for posing on rocks at sunset.

    We'll be back in 2 and 2.

Assuming full bumper. Preference on plate/tube/hybrid? Or is it a matter of how it looks?

Did you look at the Victory 4x4 Strike?

Yeah, full bumper, probably hybrid like my rear bumper. Not decided on what kind of loop, if any, I want in front of the grille, but I don't think I want headlight hoops. I have looked at that one from Victory. Plate bumper looks great, but just can't get into the headlight hoops, and it's all or none with the tubing I believe. Maybe I need to take another look or find more pics...

Yeah the rear bumper is good but it's definitely not in a high clearance combat bumper. I've been rocking the regular rear for many years and it has served me well but a high clearance would be better. If they ever made one I'd probably get it. But until then I'm going to keep testing the limits of this one

You can't have a full bumper that's a hybrid. They're two different bumper types lol.

I would honestly hang my truck from a crane with my front bumper from RCI. With the C4 frame brace kit of course. :D Although I believe RCI now has a frame brace kit as well.

I'm not the accountant but it always seemed strange that it's 11%.....2x the state sales tax.....like he's cutting tax corners or something.
You know he's making out on the ordeal or he wouldn't do it.

Sure they are. Even without the rebate, their prices are generally the same or lower than Home Depot.

I do agree, though, that most people probably don't fill out those rebate forms. I know I don't. My mom, on the other hand...

I might, or try to, remember rebate slips on bigger purchases but generally I don't look twice at rebate sales.
I just get what I need and go home. lol

I save my receipts and send in 5 or 6 at a time. The dates on the receipts don't mean a thing. I recently sent a receipt from last November. I save my 11% cards and use them for high dollar items. Two years ago I spent over $1400.00 . I had over $500.00 in 11% cards. I still got 11% on $1400.00.
Another time I bought an interior door. 3 days later that door went on sale and 11%.
I got price adjustment and 11% on the full price of that door.
It's all about how you play the game.
It's also nice when you find other people's receipts.

We no longer have a Home Depot and Lowes is to far away.
    It's Fleet Farm or Menards.
A lot of times when go to Fleet Farm I talk to myself. I say out load, "I should've gone to Menards."

I just save them all and send in an envelope full. the expiration dates dont matter, they'll still send you the rebate even a year or more past.
