If you mean the Dakota's, try Saskatchewan. You could watch your dog run away for 3 days. The American plains are very scenic in comparison.

Pat also is a surveyor of wolves. Bears can sense that and will give him due respect.

Correction: I got the wrong Pat. The above only refers to @pearing .

@WiscoPat , under no circumstances pet baby grizzlies!!! Unless maybe if have your wolf surveying certification as well. Even then, I’m not sure if you’ll be able to command the same respect from mama bear like a scratchy Pat can. They can tell who sleeps outside uncovered in winter.

13 hour drive: Ashland to Terry MT. 6 miles of dirt and it almost got technical! Dirt every day for ten days now

long slog through Minnesota and North Dakota. Found a great Vietnamese place in Fargo for lunch. Best burger in Glendive for diner. Can’t wait to have the sun come up with that view and some Arbuckles in hand

Made it just easy of Fargo, 560 miles for day 1. Buffalo River State Park in MN is a nice spot!

We'll be winging it towards Frazer/Havre, Montana tomorrow, on the way to Banff. If anyone has suggestions of camping areas around there, let me know!

My great grandparents lived in S.Dakota.
I was only there once as a kid and all I can remember is old prairie cabins and Indian burial mounds.....

IMG_0563.jpg The Terry Badlands is very worth a visit. It is a proposed wilderness area. Glad we stopped!

I thought it was, my real photos look grainy when I finally post them. I also thought the 1st gen could have had a Pro grill, or could have been a 4R, and it wasn't a regular cab which I thought. There seemed to ne what looked like enogh detail that it wasn't one of those AI generator tools. The red truck looked like it said Sport onnthe decal, of course if someone was testing a more advanced AI image generator I could see that happening. It's interesting how Toyotas share a lot of the same lines thru out the various generations.
