We worked it out with our contractor and I did most of the assembly. They checked it and hooked up power. Saved a lot

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Looked into solar back in '99 when we built. At the time, panels had a 15-20 year lifespan. Even with pretty big tax breaks, they barely paid for themselves in that window. Looking now, they appear to have a longer lifespan, are more efficient, but it appears they still barely pay for themselves. I guess if you could do a bunch of the assembly, the labor savings would make it more worthwhile.

Brian @bkhlrTaco's commented on Saturday's attempt at restoring 4wd to my truck. Things didn't start well, and when the 2nd bolt that I loosened on the transfer case broke, I had visions of being in Eau Claire with a truck that couldn't be repaired that day, so I opted to put it back together and have the local shop do it. The bolt that broke appears to have been cross-threaded during assembly. I didn't even consider such a scenario and my metric taps and extractors were at home.

The shop said that book time was 7 hrs for the swap. Even having to extract that bolt, it took barely 5 hrs. It cost some $$$, but it's done...and now I have a 30k miles transfer case in my truck. It may not have ever been in 4lo before I checked it.

Thanks again to Brian for the offer...and at least the drive home was nice. Hadn't been in that area in quite a few years.
