Currently there's a group of local TW guys building a bus.... There's also one or two working on a V8 swap into a 3rd gen Taco.

Indeed. I'm in. Need a break from rescuing insta posers at Moonlight lol

We are also interested in spending each other's money, sir.

This. Some great friends, really. :fistbump:

We have a core group of wheelers here that all met through TW and will drive the balls off our trucks. Here, Kentucky, Windrock, etc etc.

Bunch of us have been talking about taking some easier trips and just enjoying the views and mild trails..... Overlanding, if you will. Change of pace. Save some wear and tear on our pocketbooks.

I guess my point was that there are places with technical trails that won't bash in your sheet metal.

There's even a few spots up here in Wisconsin I'm still not ready to attempt, but not because of potential body damage.

In fairness, the one set of dents wasn't from me hitting something.... The creek bank collapsed and I sort of slow mo'd into a tree.

Windrock is amazing. Little over 300 miles of trails anywhere from super easy to you're gonna break shit or blow something up

Oh there will be some mods all right
Mr @Thatbassguy I have some unfortunate news for you. My parents decided that they did not want to purchase those tires so I sold them on Craigslist and as a result I will be unable to provide a review. I have let you, and my country down.

Well, couldn't even wait to unload my old wheels to take pics. Can not believe the difference in aesthetics! Like with everything, seeing these in person is a whole different experience. So happy with the outcome!

To add to the great day I am having so far, I ended up finding a used and color-matched ARE topper for my 6ft bed! It is in Indiana, so I will be driving about 3.5 hours to get it, but at $900 compared to $2500 new, I figure I better get my ass over there before someone snags it up on me. I figured even if I don't end up liking it, I list it back up for $1500 and make some cash money.

    I saw a 6’ for a 3rd gen in South Carolina for $500.
Almost called my brother-in-law near Myrtle Beach to fill the beer fridge and gas up the boat. Then I realized it wasn’t a 5’ topper.
    :annoyed:

So close to a 3 day weekend road trip!!!!

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.

Thanks for the heads up! I have a buddy with a brand new army green sport that was looking at soft toppers.
I’m trying to get him out to a meet up or trail ride but he has been busy with family stuff.
