Big ask here... attached is a file for a 9 day trip I am planning to make in the end of March. Trip starts in Ashland WI and shoots down to the Mark Twain NF and then into the Ozark NF. This is just the outline. I am hoping that those who know can add detail of places I shouldn't miss, camp sites, roads to drive etc. This is as good as I can do with Google Maps as my FS maps are not here yet. Yes I have asked before, but that was to save time on research, this is the end product... thanks in advance

Ya that sounds like a very bad idea.

The ice in Madison is 2 feet thick right now, that’s plenty.

I don't care how thick the ice is, getting a whole bunch of people together on ice that have no "ice sense" is not a good idea in my mind.

Like it looks really cool and I would want to do it... Except I don't want to do it with 20 other vehicles.

    That’s what I thought.:lalala:

I figured the underwater expert might have input.:ohsnap:

It looks like almost 50° later this week.
Maybe driving by myself I’d do it. I’ve done plenty of ice fishing but never once drove my car on the lake. I have a few friends that did and ended up sinking their vehicles. My buddy was doing practice safety rescues on the ice for the FD in Michigan. His brand new Silverado went under! Can you imagine making that call to the insurance company?

Lucky for me I have a wedding Saturday with open bar.

maybe that’s why they are Glacial Lake 4x4? Several members down under???

It’s a membership club also! It was for members only to attend.

How about a race to the bottom? (Where you'll most likely see my humble Toybota puttin' along)

I am going to be trading in my 2019 TRD Pro and have some parts I will be getting rid of. Currently have RCI rock sliders that I am looking to sell, but would need your factory step bar replacements. They do not have a top-plate and are powder coated satin black. They have a 20 degree slider angle. At this time it would cost you $900 new and a likely delay to get. I am willing to sell for $700 plus your OEM step bars. I am located near Appleton and am looking for someone to remove the bars from my truck and install their OEM. I will eventually have for sale a Thule XSporter rack system, brake controller, and husky mats. Wont sell these until new truck arrives. Likely not until May. Please PM if interested.

Why do you need OEM step bars to put on? They will not increase the trade in value and will make selling your sliders harder. Just my $0.02.

I placed an order today for a F150 w/ 5.0. We previously had a small tear-drop camper, but recently up-sized to a travel trailer.

Reason for needing OEM bars is that I already had the vehicle appraised by dealer and it has these rock sliders. They are good with me swapping out the rock sliders, but would need to replace with something.

5 0h is the way to go (if you have to buy a Ford)

Eh tell the dealer to eat rocks. Or see if you can get some cheap take offs from the 'yota dealer down the street

It’s a solid motor, but maybe not quite as fun as twin turbo they offer. It meets my needs. Also doesn’t hurt I get employee discount.
