I saw that @WiscoPat was building a platform so I finally stopped dragging my ass and finished my drawer/sleeping platform build thread (find it here) and shared it to the megathread on this topic (find that here).

All I got for now while sitting inside burning my paychecks on silly truck parts and waiting for everything to arrive. Crossing finger that weather forecast is right and temps do in fact go up this week so I can get back outside and turn some wrenches.

Looks really nice! Are the drawers full depth?

I'm getting ready to start on version 4 of my platform. Maybe this will be the one I actually finish.

Drawers are full depth minus the thickness of the plywood. Believe the inner dimension is like 57" deep so pretty much full depth.

I can fit more stuff than I usually need. Lived in it for 2 weeks last year and it did great, only thing I need now is a fridge and shower and I'd be living high on the hog.

Edit: photo of drawers - full length, no dividers. Can fit my bow and gun cases no problem, lots of camping gear/food/supplies.

Hey neighbors just letting you know I'm selling an OEM pair of 12-15 headlights. I'm in the NW suburbs of Chicago but willing to meet in Kenosha. $150 for the pair- great shape. Have a thread in the for sale section but thought I'd post here and see if anyone local is interested.

That looks FANTASTIC...admittedly much better than mine, as I'm not building drawers at the moment (more or less open cubbies). I've never built something like this and I'm not a carpenter, but it should be finished in a couple weeks and I'll post up some photos.

In the meantime, I'm nerding out on oil/grease/lubricant types for the cruiser prior to April trips - this is my first diesel, so a bit of trial and error to start.

Not sure what the spec's are on your diesel,
but being in the trucking industry for 35yrs I can say that Shell Rotella is a very popular motor oil in big motors and most of the pickups.

I don't have a diesel, not a diesel mechanic, nor do I play a mechanic on TV, but I've heard the same.

Funny enough that's what I'm looking to get! Though Rotella is pretty sparse lately.

For the curious, here's a translation from Japanese to English of what's under the hood:

That's pretty damn accurate. Nothing too far out of whack

As far as diff oils and such, @Pablo8 has the lowdown on what's what and can help you sort all of that out

    Appreciate it!

I've done driveline, power steering, and coolant so far - final pieces will be an oil/filter change, ATF, and brakeline, all of which I've confirmed via a downloaded English manual and the Mud forums, which I joined recently - talk about a world of knowledge.

Still, it's fun (kinda) to look into this stuff. Already looking at rebuilding the knuckles this summer - they're fine, mostly, but it's preventative and a rite of passage.

I almost bought the plywood after work today. I'm hoping to get a good chunk done this weekend. :)
