I'm pretty similar, the only two I really miss are my '91 Jeep Cherokee Sport which I bought new, it was fantastic and selling it was a huge mistake, and my '96 Jag XJ6 which was amazing in different ways, an asshole ran a red light, taking that one out.
I'll have to say, my current Tacoma is equal on my list of favorite vehicles to those tow and I'm experienced enough now to hang on to it for as long as it holds up to my abuse... :D

You miss your Frontier. The sportiness, the blue....

And your Tundra. For uh, big truck V8 manliness reasons. :D

I’m the same way. They are used but cared for. I put pin stripes down the sides of my tundra a couple weeks after I got it..

i still wish I had my is300.. the rest I don’t really care about. Although I am kinda sad the guy that bought my 2005 Tacoma kinda destroyed it.

Oh there will be some mods all right
Nah the only vehicle I actually miss was the Miata. All other vehicles besides the Honda passport I look upon fondly. I enjoyed the time I had with them but feel no need to revisit. Definitely not the passport though.

Yeah there's been a couple times with my brand new vehicles where I've had my parents with on an adventure and they are just cringing and squirming because I'm already scratching it

Historically I have bought new and liquidated about 75k, so I tend to have them 4-5 years. This one I enjoy both driving and working on and its paid for. Two vehicle regrets: my 55 half ton Chev and my 76 BMW 2002...

We had a 2002 on the lot once when I was selling cars. It had a moonroof with a hand crank!

I had my '03 4Runner from November of '05 until March of '17. It was actually hard to leave it at the dealership.

If there was a car I wish I hadn't sold, it was definitely my '85 Celica/Supra. I kick myself every time I think about it.

The kid who washed the cars showed it to me. We were laughing, but we both thought it was super cool!

Old guy I bought it from raced it. Thing was an absolute raped ape. 4 people, four MNT bikes on top and 140 in 4th gear at the top of Donner Pass with more in the tank (yea, the speedo only went to 120... there's an expensive story about how I know this number.) LOVED that car.

Most people miss their performance cars or their rare JDM cars or their well-built trucks... I miss my shitbox pathfinder. 5 speed, rear wheel drive, 3.0 L V6.

Bought it for 500 bucks and it had no starter in it. Drove it like that for 8 months till I got my life sort of started back in order. Lived in it for the first 6 months, it's been around the East half of the country with no major issues other than the starter relay which ended up putting a relay in from an f250, did a million gigs out of that thing, put a quarter million miles on it in the drive train was still solid when the frame was disintegrating out from underneath it.

In this episode of "today I learned," I've been curious about what the red button is next to the shifter in the 80.

Turns out it's not for rocket launchers or ejecting the passenger seat. Instead, it's a shift lock override - it allows you to shift the truck into gear without the key being in the ignition. Neat!
